Stopped in based on the good reviews. We didn?t have a positive experience. Booths and glass separating them were dirty, walls... were dirty. I ordered the catfish and it was mushy. Hush puppies were dry and portions were real small. Wife got the ribs andthey were pretty good. Server was great and offered to replace the fish but I told her not necessary. She did remove that fromour bill. Could be a great place if it was cleaner. Read more
My family ate here and the food was great (for the most part)! They had some of the best blackened chicken I've had (it was... pretty spicy)! My wife and father-in-law loved the ribs! The peanut butter pie was good too! My only complaint is that thesauteed vegetables had a very strange taste to them. I usually love sauteed veggies, but I couldn't even eat these. Read more
We used 13 Bones Catering as our caterer for our wedding in Pilot Mountain! Ellie and her team were incredible. Ellie did a few... site visits with our wedding planner prior to our wedding day to ensure that she knew exactly where to set up. Our weddingplanner praised Ellie as she was easy to work with and flexible with changing timelines/set ups due to potential rain. The foodwas delicious and the bar tenders served an awesome signature cocktail, as well as wine and beer. I have to say that I first heard about 13 bones because they catered to my niece?s wedding. They did an outstanding job, and I... feel like a POS that I didn?t take down their names because they were fantastic. Nice, clean with a view of the kitchen when sitting at the bar. Good food selection and the Grilled Marinated Chicken with... roasted veges was very good. 'Local' brews on tap. Service was a little slow, expect a little wait for your food but the servermade up for with personality. Will definitely go back when I'm back in Mt Airey and have the chance. Read more
Enjoyed a great dinner with excellent service. We started with the fried mushrooms, which were great and served with ranch and... horseradish. We both got the ribs and shrimp combo and were surprised at the amount of food! The ribs were fall off the bonedelicious! The grilled shrimp was perfectly seasoned. So good. Hubs and I stopped for a very late lunch and we?re promptly seated, and ordered dinners. He had the rib-eye and I had ribs. Both... came with a beautiful house salad, strewn with Tobacco onions. How do you have tough fried onions? The flavor was great buttexture of the chewy bits was off putting. Our meals came, both with baked potatoes. My Texan husband loved his steak, and Iloved the ribs, which I ordered without sauce so I could really taste the pork. Thumbs up. Thumbs down on brown potatoes. Ourbaked potatoes were way, way over cooked. Service was excellent. If the owners would spend some down time cleaning the entry,bathrooms, and outside I would give this place four.five stars.
