On the recommendation of a couple that we met we decided to try Abatino's in White Plains. When we arrived they were seating a... very large party, they were very loud, but it turned out not to effect the service. Our drinks were ok and the chopped saladwas quite good, the tripping point came with the entrees. Although my orrechiette with broccoli and sausage was greasy , butgood, my wife's veal Parm had no body to it. It was over-pounded, it just came apart when she put her fork in it. It almostseemed it was made of ground veal (it wasn't). Plus the sauce was very thin, almost watery. Too bad. Veal Parm is basic to usand not sure if we'll give them another try. Read more
Went for lunch with some coworkers and had a really good time here. Good service and the food was good as well... both the... regular and spicy calamari were good (I liked the spicy better) everyone said their meals were good and my chicken cacciatorewas a little salty but overall good. The food here is pure and authentic. Come here to eat delicious authentic Italian dishes. In the era of Co-vid, they have just... enough spacing inside. I suggest eating outdoor or up against the wall. Sitting in the center, you feel the traffic going toand from the kitchen. So it's a bit of distraction. The decor was on par with restaurants styles, nothing impressive though. You could see straight into the kitchen, which my kids seemed to enjoy as they could see the flames from the stove flare up. Seedecent restrooms. The lights are dimmed towards the evening hours and the candle lights glow the room transition todinner. Very affordable menu and a great selection to chose from, all served with side pasta. we relished in deserts. Thecannolis are beyond words. Must have! Can't wait to go back. Read more
