This is quite possibly the worst Popeyes in the GTA. The chicken was old and dry and the cashier didn?t allow us to Dine In even... though their hours say they are open until 2:30AM. Highly recommend going anywhere else and pls do not waste your money at thislocation. I don?t ever use google reviews but this Popeyes is so bad it gave me no choice. Read more

Tried to order spicy chicken sandwich, the girl in cash and the guy working at the back looked at each other confusedly.. she... told me they didn't have any and will take some time.. I asked how long is the wait "I don't know".. what's the estimate? "Idon't know" Like come on now.... She had absolutely no idea how long it takes to put a piece of frozen chicken in the fryer..and her colleague who works at the back did not know either.. what kind of non existent training do these workersreceive?!?!??! Food was not ready! So many things went wrong, I'm so upset! Placed my order online and received my receipt at 301pm (order... #988). Arrived at the store at 317pm. The girl did not acknowledge me until 320pm. When I asked for my order she looked througha pile of receipts on the counter and found mine. It was obvious that she was disorganized. She told me 5 more min. At 330, Igot irate and asked how many more min. She answered 7min. At this point I asked for a refund and said this is why I orderedonline because I couldn't wait. She said it's taking so long because they wanted to give me fresh fries so I replied by saying Ido not want them since this is not the service I paid for. The man came and asked me how much did i pay without looking for thereceipt. I answered 42$. He must of looked what buttons to press for 5min on how to issue a refund. Finally he opened the cashregister and gave me 42 cash even though the receipt said 42.94$ I had paid for my order on my visa since it was an onlineorder. This Popeye location is always slow buy unfortunately it's the one nearest to my house. Now I have no chicken, I have acharge on my credit card that has gone unpaid and I am really disappointed that 2 people who have idea how to represent thiscompany is allowed to work together! We ordered the 9 piece Family Deal that came with 2 large sides, 4 biscuits, and 9 pieces of chicken. We not only got small... pieces of chicken. Also when we got home which was only 5 minutes away. Sat down to eat it, and the household got diarrhea,nausea, & vomit. We got food poisoning! When we were waiting for the order, we noticed the cook that was frying chicken in theback, texting and touching his phone, then touching the food also. This is all contamination! It was 6 pm ish when we were thereat the Whitby 1525 Dundas St. Whitby ON location. We wanted spicy, and the manager wanted to give us 2 regular as he only had 7of the spicy. We said no, so he asked the cook to drop down 2 to finish our order, and who knows how long the 7 pieces wassitting out for. When we walked in, it wasn't busy, as it was only 1 person ahead of us. I'm stunned and frankly angry. Ourstomachs were suffering from the bad food we ate. We spoke to head office, and they forwarded the information to the franchiseowner, and said hopefully the owner will contact me. It has been 8 days and no communication has been conducted. The owner andemployees of this location does not care, as they got their money and made my family and I sick off of stale chicken that hasbeen sitting there for however so long. I experienced the same issues, as other customers. The menu video boards were completely black and not working. Customer service... was non-existant from the glaring cashier and backup cook/henchman... as I tried to politely place an order, where a heavylanguage barrier was present. I went to use the washroom and it was filthy. This included a heavy and disgusting sink, that wasprecariously sticking to the wall with a gallon of fresh silicone. This location's walls, seats, tables, floors and signs: allshowed various shades of grime. I was hungry, rolled the dice and my chicken burger tasted ok. If I make it through the nextcouple of days unscathed, I'll go to Vegas. P. S. Popeye's should have a little pride, and have a Regional Manager deal withthis. P. S. S. Digital menus were not working so ordering was very difficult, we should've taken that as a sign. I had the Buffalo Chicken... burger, it was fresh which was nice but tasteless. My husband ordered the daily special which was 3 pieces of chicken. Paid 1.80upcharge for white meat only. Was given a small breast, a wing and a thigh. Asked to have all white meat and not a wing and athigh the employee decided to argue that it was white meat only. She even took it out of the box and held it up for the managerto see and said "this is white meat right?" So rude, won't be back. Aside from this the restaurant looks so run down. Read more
