Mia's was a great location, directly across from where I was staying and has a great outdoor seating area. However, the service... was incredibly slow (they only had one waitress, one busser, and someone behind the bar), the food was lukewarm, and thewaitress only came by to check on us once. I ordered the chorizo tacos with the added rice and beans, however in my opinion,for $3, the tiny scoop of rice and beans were not worth it. We also go fajitas and the chicken was really chewy. I do not recommend coming here. Waited an hour for my food, never received my food. My family and I continued to wait. A group... of girls left at the back doors, saying "we waited 2 hours, you're gonna wait 2 hours". I knew they never received their foodtoo. The drinks were very small, 5 ounces to estimate. Had to ask for refill due to the size of the small cups. Paid, walked outand never got food. Waitress was sweet, cool rock band, but service was absolutely terrible. Read more
We had a party of 20 people which I understand is a big hassle (myself and half of the party attending work in restaurants). We... had called 2 days prior and they told us it wouldn?t be a problem. Our party arrived between 6-6:30. Apparently there was onlyone server for the entire restaurant so automatically we were not expecting 5 star service. We received a first round of drinks(all waters and maybe 3 bar drinks) and chips for the table. 30-45 minutes later is when the server came back to take our order(yes she didn?t come back at all for the first 30-45 minutes) but that was fine because we knew she was the only server. Weplaced our food order and a few more bar drinks at 7 pm. 30 minutes went by with no drinks. A couple of us went to the bar toat least grab the drinks just trying to 1.get our drinks and 2. help her out a little bit (maybe she was too busy to bring themback to us in a timely manner). The bartender then proceeded to tell one of us that ?You guys are the reason we are shortstaffed. Someone told us you guys were going to cancel so we sent all of our other servers home? ????? In what world would arestaurant send home ?all of their servers? at 6 pm mid dinner rush??? I am not sure. He made us feel very uncomfortable as wewere trying to be patient, understanding, and helpful to our server. 8 pm food came out. A few entrees were cold, server tookone entree back and had fresh tacos made. However the steak was very tough and not very edible. Overall the food was lukewarm,took an hour (which is okay considering we had a large party), flavorless, and not worth the wait. We never received waterrefills, chip & salsa refills, and very little communication. What really struck me however was the 2 fruit flies that werefound in 2 separate margaritas. Carry out for the Baja tacos - fried, for an additional $3 got the meal (rice and beans). Rice and beans were great, tacos had... potential. The fish and sauce were bland. More seasoning please. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend the guacamole and soup. Will definitely be back! I see that... most of these reviews are negative and from a long time ago. I would recommend going now as the food was good and the waitwasn't long when we went. Read more
The dishes here are so nicely presented but the taste is much better, friendly staff and good ambience. Tacos are just amazing.... We even asked them to switch to the music they were playing when we arrived. As a Mexican born and raised in Mexico city, themusic choice at this place make us feel nostalgic and it was also important for us to keep the momentum of the Friday vibes!They have a nice outside setup.
