My wife and I were in the area so we stopped in for an early supper. I’ve been going to Gino’s east since 1968. This pizza... is the best deep dish in the Chicago area which means the world. The sweet sauce, the cornmeal crust and cheese was perfect. Iwish there was one farther south, in the Homer Glen, New Lenox area. Nothing like it. Read more

Gino's East in Wheaton has a good selection of pizza. They offer Chicago deep-dish as well as thin crust. Both selections were... good. The service was very good. Our server was very attentive. It is a very large place so plenty of seating. I went on aSaturday and they were able to seat our party right away, even though we have more than 10 people. There is a parking garageless than a block away with free public parking so do no be deterred if you don't see parking right up front. Read more

Drove out for a night out and decided on Chicago deep dish. The service was good, however I was seated next to a giant glass... door. The inside temperature had to be in the lower 50s. When the pizza came, the first piece was delightful. By the time Icut into the second piece, it was cold. The salad that I ordered tasted as if it came out of a bag from the grocery store. Iwas glad to leave the restaurant and get back into my heated car. For a 40 dollar pizza and pop, I would have liked to at leasthave a heated dining experience. Read more

Ate 2 slices of this medium, I was full! They are filling thus pricesare really good considering how filling they are Read more

We love Gino’s. Their deep dish crust is my favorite. They also have lots of seating indoors and outdoors. They have a section... of the patio that allows dogs too which is fantastic! Read more

Delicious pizza. Their crust is buttery and delicious. The toppings were high quality, hot, and divine (especially the sausage).... I also tried the deep dish, which while being very good, needed some more cheese. Both were provided by our cheerful waiterThomas. Great service and great food. I’ll be returning. Read more

We don’t talk about Gino, no, no, no! Well, once upon a time we did but those days have passed. With the Chicagoland area... filled with Lou’s and Gio’s, Gino’s East has taken a back seat in the battle for the best thick crust deep dish/stuffedcrust pizza. Other than the 2 Chicago locations, you’d be hard pressed to find a location near you. Lucky for me, the Wheatonlocation was within 15 mins of my house so I decided to give it a shot. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t quite the same tastethat I remembered from Gino’s East 10-15 yrs ago. The crust was dry and lacked flavor that you would find in a Malnati’sdeep dish. And the sauce wasn’t as robust nor was the cheese as dense or stretchy as Giordano’s but it was by no means bad.But then again, it was never as good as the other two but at least it held its own with its distinct cornmeal crust. Now itsjust dry and lacks flavor. Next time, I’ll try to hit one of the Chicago locations and eat inside the restaurant instead ofcarrying out. Oh, and hopefully I’ll remember to just stick to the basic cheese instead of the OMG w/basil because it becamesomewhat of a distraction as my main focus was to be satisfy my ravenous appetite with tons of gooey melted cheese. Great service and loved the veggie deep dish pizza. Must try the pizza with their Giardiniera. Spinach mozzarella sticks were... not as we expected since it was smelling of fried fish may be due to reuse of oil to fry. Read more
