Reviews for Ray Ray's Hog Pit Westerville in Westerville, OH
I really wanted to love this bbq. It looked fantastic. We got home and tried it all out. Not much flavor (smoke or otherwise).... The pulled pork was ok texture wise but everything else was very overcooked, tough, and hard to chew. Read more
Excellent BBQ meats smoked to perfection! The brisket was tender and well flavored, the pork was amazing and I'm told the hot... link had the perfect combo of flavor and heat. We tried all four sauces, sweet was my favorite and paired beautifully with thepork. We got the Mac-n+cheese, beans, and split taters for sides and each was great. A colleague of mine has talked about Rayrays for years....I should have gone sooner! Read more
I was not ready. I got the baby back ribs, Mac n cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. Never been here before, thought it was... going to be like every other BBQ places, boy was I wrong. My mom is from Texas and my dad is from Louisiana, and I know goodcooking but those collard greens are probably the best I've ever had. The Mac and cheese is just as good and so are the bakedbeans. I think not being able to sauce the ribs while cooking makes a difference but the sides blew me away. Can I just buy awhole pot of the collards greens please lol. The wait is kind of long but the food is definitely worth it. Read more
If you enjoy being the first car in line for lunch and hit this place, don't worry in 15+ minutes they can make a sandwich and... side of coleslaw ( well one will while 2 others talk and stand motionless) then have the audacity to ask you if you need napkinsand plastic warehouse from a BBQ restaurant?!?!?! While overpriced and not as good as it was when they first opened I'd avoidthis place unless you want to see slugs work. Read more
Amazing BBQ place in a great location. I had the pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and collared greens. The pork was so... tender and had an excellent flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the greens had a little kick but very good. Read more
The sausage sandwich was the worst for the $10.00 it cost. Bread was sliced in to, not a bun and had minimal condiments. There... were about 4 small chunks of onion a small squirt of mustard and something that Resembled a pickle slice. The sausage wasextremely dry. Glad I brought it home where I could add more mustard. No desire to go back. Read more
This gets full marks for quality, but they are pricey. $15 for a brisket sandwich seems a bit much even if it is one of the best... briskets I've ever had. And of course they're carryout only, so it's not like you're paying for the ambiance. The $3 brownie wasa relative bargain. It was good, but not as much of a wow as the brisket. But that's as it should be for a BBQ place. Read more
I wanted to like it. I have drove by Ray Ray's daily and had been wanting to try it. I ordered the brisket sandwich. It was DRY... and they put one tablespoon of barbecue sauce on it. I will say that the little sauce (sweet) that I got was pretty good. Thetators were average at best. The Mac n Cheese was better than City Barbecue but still not a great product. I finished a quarterof it. Overall, I would definitely not go back and felt the $27 was not worth the C- barbecue. Read more
