My 1st try at this type of Asian flare & wasn't sure what to order. I chose "build your own" poke. I chose tuna & salmon. I... wasn't planning on eating it immediately, but the sticker urged me to sit & eat. I LOVED it & will return. In my bowl: rice, salmon, tuna, crab salad, soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds. Read more

Simply can't say enough good about eating here. The meals are healthy, fresh and filling. A very nice mix on the plates. You... can even register for reward points so why not. I just wish they had more places around the state! Keep growing Poke! Read more

Great food and generous portions! Got the regular size bowl and it was more than enough. Would definitely go back!

Awful experience. Came in this evening for a simple single order. After waiting nearly 15 mins while a group of 3 made a... simplemorder into an overly complicated one it was my turn to place an order. Once the group was able to untangle the mess theyhad made with the cashier it was my turn to pay. I stood there patiently waiting to cash out while the cashier decided this wasthe appropriate time to tally up some menu items for comparison with God only knows. When finished she looks up at me with apuzzled look on her face like she couldn?t understand why a person would be standing in front of her at the cash register with adebit card in their hand. I had to tell her I was trying to cash out with her and it was then the manager approached to tell herthe food set off to the side was for me. Only then was it apparent the previous group of 3 in front of me had been provided mymeal. At no time was there any concern by the three staff members for this inconvenience, only trying to locate the group of 3to recover my meal, which they had already begun to consume in the dining area. I lost my patience, left and not sure if I?ll beback. This is unfortunate because I like their food and it had been a regular spot for me. Tonight?s staff was absolutelyclueless, completely wasted my time and made no offers to make it right. Read more

If you want a poke bowl, this is an excellent choice! Was really pleased with the quality and flavor, and the portion sizes are... huge! We ordered one of the house specialities (Hawaiian) and make your own bowl, large, and actually had more fish than wecould eat. Depending on your hunger level, I would consider getting regular size bowl. Super delicious and can?t wait to goback! Read more

Big Fin Poke is a Hawaiian inspired restaurant with two locations in Maine and one location in Massachusetts. We visited the... location in Westbrook, Maine. If you don't know what Poke is, Poke is diced raw fish served either as an appetizer or a maincourse and is one of the main dishes of Native Hawaiian cuisine. Many places offer cooked protein options like steak, chicken orshrimp so you don't have to eat raw fish. They have build your own bowls or pre made bowls with drinks and soups to add on. Welike eating at poke places and some are better than others but this is one of those places that are better than the others. Goodportions, lots of variety, reasonably priced and friendly staff in an open and inviting atmosphere. This location does not haveindoor seating so everything is to go at the moment but they do have two tables outside for some outdoor seating options atleast. Westbrook is lucky to have such a gem in their part of town so if you haven't had them before I would suggest trying thenout! My wife and I got build your own bowls. I got the yellow tail on a bed of mixed greens and my wife got half tuna and halfsalmon. My bowl had, seaweed salad, crab salad, corn, pickled ginger, kimchi, crispy onion and jalapenos with some sirrachaponzu and big fin shoyu. My wife had something similar. We also got miso soup. Usually when we go to places that offer Miso, italways seems to lack flavor or tastes watered down but this was not the case here! We actually really enjoyed their miso soupand it was piping hot. All the flavors in our bowls were really tasty and everything you would expect from a good poke place. Iespecially like how they offered drinks that were native to Hawaii but we didn't try them. This place has plenty of options tocreate a bowl that anyone could enjoy and I don't have anything bad to say about the food, service, or atmosphere. The onlysmall gripe I would have is that things can start to get expensive if you want more than the allow Read more
