Went here for a celebratory lunch with 11 coworkers and we didn\'t have one bad thing to say. This is an authentic Mexican... restaurant. The food was very delicious and the portions were big. The plates were the size of a round serving tray. The servicewas good; the waitress was always checking in. The prices are competitive. Just over $200 for everyone\'s food and nonalcoholic drink . Spacious and clean. Great for families and large groups. Large selection of popular Mexican dishes.\nLocatedon Route 9 next to Taco Bell with ample parking. Read more

Service was excellent and staff is very friendly. Atmosphere is nice and lively. Prices for most items are reasonable. But the... food was just ok. The fried calamari, which was almost $15, was a bit stale, chewy, and parts of it were still cold. It tasteda bit like factory frozen, pre-breaded warehouse stocked freezer burned squid rings (no tentacles) and quickly deep fried. Forthat price, you would expect them to hire chefs to properly slice, bread, and pan fry fresh, local Rhode Island squid. Nope. The “fried” El Paso Chimichanga was not crispy at all. It didn’t even look fried, it was soft and damp and lackingflavor. The fried “whole Red Snapper” was properly fried and hot and crispy and nicely presented, but it was definitely notRed Snapper. Look at the photo and decide for yourself. Even when fried, Red Snapper has a distinctive red skin with a veryrecognizable pattern. I’m not sure what this fish was. It wasn’t terrible, but it had a strange, more dense texture. RedSnapper is a very expensive fish and difficult to source, so I can understand why it might need to be substituted. But theyshould revise the menu to just say “Fried whole fish” and let customers know what fish it is each evening. Thecomplimentary bean dip and salsa with chips is a nice touch, although the chips were a bit stale.\n\nOverall, this is a run ofthe mill chain restaurant with mediocre food, good service, and a lively bar atmosphere. I would compare the quality to anApplebee’s or Friday’s. If you go, then I suggest to keep it simple and stick with basic dishes like quesadillas, burritos, and tacos. The margaritas looked good, but we didn’t order any. Read more

Upon our arrival, we were promptly seated and greeted with fresh chips, bean dip, and salsa. We ordered skinny margaritas, and... they were not only tart, delicious, and generously portioned, but strong -- just how we like \'em!\n\nThe veggie fajitas, prepared vegan, contained a delightful variety of broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and carrots. I could tellthat they were fresh veggies, not frozen, which is of course my preference. We also got an order of tropical guacamole withmango. Highly recommend!\n\nThe wait for our margaritas and meals was a little longer than I expected, so keep that in mind ifyou\'re on a time crunch. But it was worth it -- everything was delicious!\n\nAlso, I left my sunglasses there by accident, andthey made sure to hold them for me until I could pick them up the next day. They care about their customers and want them tocome back! Read more

Came in for dinner on a busy Friday night. Our server Vanessa was prompt and friendly, and checked on us frequently throughout... the evening. Food took a while to come out (restaurant was about 60% full) but not a big issue. Pictured: spicy wings(definitely hotter than I expected!), lamb shank, and steak/shrimp/chicken skillet. With sides of beans, rice, guac, sour cream.Everything tasted good, and the portion sizes were huge. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed with people having a good time allaround - that\'s what matters! Read more

Run, do not walk, to Rt 9\'s newest Mexican restaurant, in the former Not Your Average Joe\'s location. Excellent food and... service! Huge portions, high quality, friendly and helpful staff. We haven\'t eaten out in two years but just stopped there forlunch. Would it be too soon to go back for dinner? Read more
