Great service, large food portion. I had to take home almost half of my omelette.
Ordered The Spot's Zoo Sticks and a side Caesar Salad for lunch. Always love the zucchini sticks, which come out hot and nicely... breaded. They're great for sharing, but can also just be for one person! Was able to secure a table for 4 with no wait at 1:15pm on a weekday, however the food took awhile to arrive. Our server seemed aware and let us know it wouldn't be much longer. Therestaurant wasn't busy so perhaps a short staff situation? Moving day & the crew was famished. Stopped in for a tasty bite to fuel up before continuing with the journey that is... moving. We noticed the Carolina BBQ burger. So grateful that we did! This is a delight. Paired with the Spot Salad this was aflavourful meal. So very good. You should try it! The service today was outstanding. Attentive and pleasant. The restaurant isclean and inviting. A great break in our busy day. I'd say this was the best White Spot experience I've had. Read more
Being a local chain it is evident that you will find dishes with varied food, comforting and with good ingredients. Great experience, went here Friday afternoon and they were fairly busy but we got a table right away. The food was good, fish... and chips was fantastic really fresh and not too oily. Update today, 21 August 2021. First, I want to begin by stating that my family and I are regular customers of Whitespot, not... this branch but in North Vancouver. We know the menu by heart and we have our favorites and we know what sides goes with ourorders. And we are an Asian family. On 10 August 2021 at about 3pm, My 12 year old daughter and I were served by 'Jeanette' atthis branch. To begin, I didn't like how she was walking away even I'm still talking to her and finishing the orders we have,she's rushing her job and no personal touch. She didn't even say hello or hi to greet us which is normal to all servers. At theend of our meal, I've inquired why we were over charged for 2 items. This server (Jeanette) answered with an angst and defenseand insult; and argued what we ordered and tried to justify that the bill and what we were charged was correct and laugh withan insult and she made me feel, we have no money to pay, that we are Asians, and highly descriminated. She left the table andsaid , I'll have the manager change it (meaning the charges in the bill) and turned around quickly! , without saying sorry afterall. Very rude!! She came back with the new bill and said, 'here, the manager changed it', still didn't say 'sorry for thatconfusion' or something! . I was exemplary amused by her rudeness and racism, I am sure, have we been a Caucasian family andnot Asian, she will treat the situation very differently and treat us very differently, at least with respect and I am definite,she would have apologized. JEANETTE IS DEFINITELY WORKING IN A WRONG PLACE, WRONG POSITION AND SHOULD BE EXPELLED!) Will nevercome back to this branch. I?ve been to this White Spot a handful of times, and unfortunately I never had a pleasant experience until this time. The... service at this location can definitely be improved. One time we had to wait 45 minutes for our food (both burgers) and had toflag down our server to ask them where our food was. This time the service was also sub par. We had to flag down our servereach time we wanted something, like asking for water and pop refills. Although there was only one server for 5 tables, so I dosympathize. The food I had in the past was quite standard, but this time I got the fish and chips, and I have to say it wasREALLY GOOD! The batter on the outside was crispy and not greasy at all, meanwhile the fish was tender, moist and flakey on theinside. This can easily be one of the top 10 best fish and chips I?ve had. The fries were bottomless, but I think it can beimproved. Mostly because the fries weren?t seasoned when they come out the fryer. So they were bland and lacking potatoflavour. Overall I think the service can still use improvement, but I?ll definitely be back for the fish and chips, and maybeask the cook to season my fries when I order. Read more
