I find it very inconvenient that I can't buy single buns from the bulk bakery section. They pre-bag all of their rolls in... numbers of 6+. If I only need one, I am still forced to buy at least six. This way very wasteful and expensive. Otherwise, thestore is very clean and organized. Read more

Very friendly staff, and good selection of foods! I always stop by when I'm around this area. Unfortunately, the last visit was... not so good. I got an éclair from their pastry section, and the moment I saw it very close I noticed there are a lot offingerprints on the cholocate part.(I was already far away from the store at this time, I couldn't go back to ask forexchange) At least there were 5-6 multiple fingerprints. Sadly, shopping these days is sometimes a lesson in the many ways a store can rip you off. Grocery stores are not my favourite... thing anyway. But Fresh Street has a special place in the annals of thievery. Today we bought some Sable Fish. Upon opening theclear wrap, the smell made it clear this fish was definitely not Fresh. Plus, for added weight while determining the price, adisgusting and decrepid, brown-ish tail was tucked under the fish inside the package. I thought grocery stores worked on thehonour system: Knowing we can trust them means they get to charge premium prices. We know it and they know it and everyone'shappy. But this store is way beyond the pale. Addendum. Six months later we have definitely moved on. How can 6 out of 6avocados, carefully chosen, be bad? Well, at Fresh Street you can choose as many as you like apparently and they all will bebad. So we moved all our grocery purchases over to Whole Foods. We pay a bit more but the quality is worth it. Stopped in last Saturday to pick-up my Skipper Otto order from the fish counter - quick, efficient and easy. While there, I also... shopped for some grocery items - great selection of veggies and salad items, fresh and well displayed. I also bought anexcellent Panini sandwich to go that was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and if I lived in the area, it would bemy go to supermarket. Highly recommended! Read more
