An old traditional French restaurant. Warm and welcoming decorations, service is good and friendly. Tasty French onion soup, not... too salty and full sweetness of onions ????. Main dishes were good and right portion. Who doesn?t love the crème brûlée andHazelnut chocolate mosses at main courses? Recommend! Read more

This is one of the oldest French restaurants still in operation. I remember my parents telling me it was too expensive to eat... there. So after 40 years I decided to visit. My daughter wanted to eat somewhere fancy so for her hard work at school I decidedto oblige her. It was really busy and we were lucky to get a reservation. We ordered Caesar salad and the onion soup. The onionsoup was exceptional, not salty, not too much cheese with great bread. I had the elk steak which was really tasty and didn'thave too much of a gamey flavor. We shared a beaujolais which is one of the few reds that can go with fish or meat. The almondcrusted halibut was really good. The chicken in vol au vent pastry was so good my daughter intentionally didn't finish it so shecould take some home to prolong the flavor experience. We had some of the best crepes suzette ever with crême brûlée on theside and a Sauternes wine. Excellent Read more

Over the years, I?ve come to really appreciate good French restaurants more and more. So when we found ourselves on the North... Shore in early November, we decided to pop into Chez Michel. Located on the 2nd floor, this cozy eatery didn?t disappoint. Ourmeals began with the requisite complimentary bread and butter. There?s just something about fresh, crusty bread that reallyspeaks to me. Plus, they refilled our bread without even asking. We weren?t sure how hungry we would be so they offered toprepare a side Caesar Salad ($4.50) instead of a full order. French Onion Soup ($10) is something that I always make a point oftrying at a French restaurant and this one didn?t disappoint. Lots of tender onions in the bowl and a super cheesy pull witheach spoonful. Last up was their Special Moules Frites ($27) ? they had a number of ways that this could be prepared but weopted for the saffron, pernod, garlic, butter, and fennel. The mussels comes with a big serving of addictive fries (with a mayodipping sauce). Speaking of large?. this bowl of mussels was overflowing. The 1lb of mussels were really good (no closedshells) and the mussels were nice and plump. Overall, really good food here and service to match. We?re definitely planning onreturning in the future.
