Didn't expect to find a place with such great Mexican food in West Union Iowa. I had the shrimp fajitas, it was well worth the... extra dollar to get shrimp. Everything was fantastic, my wife and I both cleaned our plates on appetizers, entrees and dessert.I'd definitely stop again. Read more

I was in here over RAGBRAI. They were looking to take full advantage of riders. Normally they offer free chips and salsa, but... our waitress informed us that they were charging for it that night. Really?! They were also charging extra for a small cup ofsalsa that night and had a very limited, expensively priced set menu. Places like this are the reason RAGBRAI should avoidcertain towns, West Union being one of them. Read more
Perhaps the day we were there wasn't representative of normal as RAGBRAI was in town, but the food options were extremely... limited (couldn't order off the normal menu, just the special event menu or 4-5 options). No vegetarian options or even fish.Service wasn't too impressive but not abysmal. Did wait plenty long for the place being maybe 2/3 full. Margaritas were good butexpensive...$10 for a 16oz pour over ice. Would give it another try on a non-special event day. Read more
