Reviews for PaBella's Winery and Vineyard in West Point, GA
I the wine was great. I bought 3 bottles. The Reisling was my favorite
Loved the live music! Great service and wine.
We were very happy to visit a winery around this area. Wines were overall good. The reason for the 2 stars is because we went... with the family, 4 adults and 4 kids, and I dont think they were very family oriented. Kids were playing outside, where theywere instructed to do so and even got games. One of the kids trip over one of the boards by accident. He was very rude, yellingfrom far away embarrassing the kid. Then he came over his mom and told her that he broke the cornhold board and that he's goingto charge $100, all this with a bad attitude. We really don't might to pay but the attitude towards the situation was not thebest. If family with kids are not welcome just make a statement in you website. Read more
LOVED the wines. Each had their own unique flavor and fragrance. Truly delicious, the scenery was also beautiful and the people... here are friendly. Definitely would recommend trying the wine slushees as well. Read more
I recently moved to West Point, GA and discovered this family-run winery & vineyard. Now that I've gotten to know the place, I... felt like it was time to write an informed review. River's Bend is just a few miles off the interstate towards Flat ShoalsCreek, and it feels like it's in its own little pocket of countryside. The indoor tasting room is charming with a rustic cabinvibe. They have bar seating for about 6-8 people and a selection of small to medium size high-top tables. There is also acovered patio with outdoor seating as well. Wines are grape-based (no muscadine here!) and range from sweeter fruit wines(Peach, Strawberry, Blackberry) to a dry white (Blanc du Bois) and three reds (Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir).Depending on the time of year, they may also other seasonal options as well. If you happen to be there when the slushie machineis going, I highly recommend trying a wine slushie. You can purchase tastings of 3 or 5 wines, wines by the glass or by thebottle. The owners are on hand to educate you if you need assistance or to make recommendations. The wines are blended, fermented and bottled on site, and you can even get a peek into the wine-maker's room behind the bar. If you have an interest inthe wine-making process, be sure to ask for Don. He loves to share his passion with interested guests and is veryknowledgeable. Dogs are usually allowed outside on the patio, but I recommend calling first to make sure it's OK on the day youwish to come. In the summer, they often set out corn-hole boards & other garden games so bring the family and spend anafternoon. Free blueberry picking in the orchard is always one of my favorite summer activities! River's Bend is truly a hiddengem, and I've enjoyed getting to know the owners and sampling all of their wines. My personal favorites are the Blackberry (ablend of Blackberry and Merlot) and the Blanc du Bois (a dry white using grapes grown in the vineyard on-site.) Plan a visitsometime s Read more
Wonderful, helpful staff. This was a quaint, charming winery. Their selection of wines hit all the boxes. You can find a perfect... red, white or sweet wine. Tastings are well priced. Highly recommend as a stop if you're in the area! They also have freeshipping on online orders which is a plus if you're not local. A sweet pup greeted us when we came. Read more
