The food was yummy. The servers were super sweet and the customer service was “extra mile”. I met Big John and he was nice,... welcoming, and he cared about my experience. I had a mimosa, hot honey chicken & red velvet waffles, the steak & egg sandwich(without bread), and the hash brown casserole. The waffles tasted like red velvet cake. The chicken was well seasoned. Thesteak and hash brown casserole had crack in it. Just kidding, it was just addictively good. I also got to sample the grits andbaby… I could eat the grits alone, they were so creamy and well seasoned. The restaurant was clean and cute. I loved the arton the walls. First of all, I was impressed by John attitude and friendliness. He stopped and took a few minutes to chat with me as if we... knew each other already and I didn't even know he was the restaurant owner at first. The fact that John is a such a friendlybusiness owner and Haitian entrepreneur makes one to always visit the restaurant again. Second of all, all the waitress wereextremely nice and friendly as well. Was looking for a new brunch spot near by since our favorite place closed months ago. So happy I saw Big John's Eatery has... brunch! Bottomless Mimosas (Orange, passion fruit or cranberry), a limited but delicious brunch menu. My boyfriend and I bothhad the Breakfast Bowl and it was amazing. Good Food, down home exceptionally friendly customer service, but if you come here for Sunday brunch… this is the spot so be... prepared for the wait! When we showed up during Sunday brunch the wait time was estimated to be 45 mins but they opened up thebar for seating and we began enjoying their bottomless brunch mimosas. The food is worth the wait! We had to the shrimp andgrits and the French toast along with the most popular Chicken and Waffles. 5 out of 5 would recommend the red velvet with yourchicken and waffles. Everyone in my party, plus those I got take out for was pleased with their selection. Scratch made, for the most part, well... presented, well seasoned, fresh ingredients. The food met my discriminating standards so let me get that out of the way. Theowner, Big John himself was right there, front of house and he and his lovely wife are beautiful people. For those reasons,they've earned my devotion and I wish them so much success in this endeavor! What did not meet my standards, and I hope this istaken constructively... Two very rude servers ( I won't go into the specifics) because I really wish this couple much successand don't want to hurt their business, but I will say that perhaps some customer service training needs to happen. Another thingthat may not seem like a big thing, but the choice of using lavender Fabuloso to wipe down tables is probably not the bestchoice as it competes with the smell of the amazing food. The space is on the smaller side and maybe a more neutral scent wouldwork better. Overall, I'm a fan! Well done Mr and Mrs Big John. My friend and I enjoyed the little conversation we had. The food was awesome and hot! We enjoyed our visit and we appreciate the accommodation for a party of 4 when they were about to... close. If you were planning to come for the oxtail n grits, be sure to call before coming to make sure aren’t sold out. Icalled and the staff was really nice even over the phone. Arrived at a perfect time especially for social distancing.Thepresentation of every dish was just the way you see it on their website. If you live far don’t go there just for one plate,try as many as you can LOL. Everything was great the grits for the oxtails were seasoned well.
