Reviews for El Sombrero Of West Monroe in West Monroe, LA
My family and I went tonight for my daughter?s birthday. While there someone else had a birthday and the workers sang their... traditional birthday song and put the sombrero on the one who?s birthday it was. We ordered street tacos and were broughtregular tacos- When I asked the waiter about it he said it was street tacos and I told him that street tacos don?t normally comeon flour tortillas and do not come with lettuce and such. He argued and said they made changes but wasn?t sure why they put themon flour tortillas. I waved another waiter down thinking maybe he wasn?t understanding what I was asking and that waiter legittold me that he couldn?t help me. Then my husband waved that same waiter down and simply asked him for a menu and he never evenbrought it to him!! My husband then asked our waiter the price difference between the street tacos and regular tacos. He said 3street tacos with the side of beans and rice was $14 and 3 regular tacos would be $12. Out ticket read $24 for a total of 6tacos- He answered my original question outright that I asked in the beginning when I asked if they were street tacos. He liedand told me they were knowing they were not! Then to top it off we told him it was my daughters birthday and we asked for thechurros for her dessert- when he brought them out to her he said they were too short staffed to sing her the happy birthday song???? ABSOLUTELY CRAZY WHEN THEY WETE SINGING IT TO ANOTHER TABLE WHEN WE WALKED IN!!! I?m not one to complain about a restaurantbecause I use to work in one many years ago but this was an absolute disappointment!!!! We will not go back to El Sombrero inWest Monroe!!!!! Read more
Stopped by for dinner. I ordered the Chicken with cheese mushrooms and bacon. First time I have had bacon with a Mexican meal. I... have to say it was good. The chips and salsa were also ok. The salsa was a lil more tomato tasting than I like but not thatoverpowering. The reason I didn?t give the full 5 stars is for 2 reasons. I ordered no tomatoes and no pico. Well there was picoon my plate making it impossible to enjoy all my sour cream. The second reason is that they has flan on the menu. When I orderedit for dessert I was told they have not served it for years boooo. Music was good and lively. I would come back if I livedcloser. Read more

The food here was quite tasty. I left overly stuffed! Lol. We dined in for happy hour and had their 2-for-1 margaritas which... were also tasty and surprisingly good for happy hour drinks! Usually they're weaker for happy hour but, not at this location???? Dessert was also wonderful. This was my first visit here and we loved it! Read more
