My friend brought me here while we were visiting, and it was SO GOOD! I can't wait to come back and try some of the other... dishes. I had the fried catfish, which came with two sides, a choice of bread, and a dessert. It was SO GOOD! And I'm not alight eater, but I ate half of it and was stuffed. I ate the rest of the fried green beans while I was waiting for my plane overan hour later, and they were still delicious! My mouth is watering just looking at all the southern goodies on the menu! Stopped in for breakfast on my way to Dallas. Found this place on Google. It was one of the best suggestions I ever got. The... place was small and cozy, but the food was bold and delicious. I had a shrimp and alligator sausage omelet, and let me tell youit was scrumptious. Grits were creamy and delicious. Thw sausage gravy was wonderful. My sister had a brisket omelet that wasout of this world, and the potatoes were pure perdection. PLEASE GO HERE.. you surely won't regret it. Read more
Traditional diner with great atmosphere and a good hearty breakfast. Here you will find friendly service in a place where a lot... of folks know one another. A group of ladies might be holding a Bible study and at the next table a young father maybe sharing ameal with his toddler. Some old men in overalls and cowboy hats are getting the day started and sharing stories from long ago. Awayward traveler is probably sitting somewhere solo enjoying their first meal after seeing the reviews and deciding to see whatall the fuss was about.About as southern and as American as you can get. First, the food. Amazing. The beef tips were so amazing and full of flavor. The peas were very well seasoned as well! The people... we ate with also had the chicken fried steak and said it was very good to! Plus bonus FREE DESERT! When we went it was very verybusy but they brought us a drink while we waited and were very polite. Great staff and great atmosphere with amazing food.Definitely recommend! Read more
