Good burgers, coleslaw, and sweet potato fries. The milk shake was too thin and melted fast. The regular fries were fried extra... long making them hard. The garden salad was not the freshest... The lettuce was turning brown, the carrot slides were dryingout. The chocolate cake and ice cream was very good. Good place to stop in for breakfast or lunch and to get some fun pictureswith a jukebox. Valet parking is available Read more

Diners are usually tough to review. Can you really mess up breakfast? Unfortunately, yes it is possible. Lol However, Mel's... definitely brings the classic diner vibes. The kind of place you stop in between a long road trip and get greeted by someonekind and ready to provide great service. I really appreciated that. I got the waffle breakfast with two eggs and pork sausage.I also had a side of potatoes. The waffles came split in four pieces, I really liked the crispiness of the edges and theslightly sweet batter. The pork sausage was a nice size and had a nice cook on it (see photo). I was also pleasantly surprisedwith the potatoes, they were seasoned to perfection! The eggs were standard, I just added some pepper and voila! Overall I hada pleasurable experience. The waitress was very nice and gave me a coffee to go. If you're looking for a good old fashioneddiner, go ahead and give Mel's a try! Read more

Nice spot, they had a parking lot which is rare for this part of LA. The smashburger was really good and the fries were nice and... crispy. The only complaint is that they used shredded lettuce on the burger which made it messier than it should have been. Thelemonade wasn?t my favorite but not terrible. My girlfriend seemed to really enjoy her arnold palmer however. Our server Janetwas nice and did a great job at splitting the bill per our request. Not busy at all on a Monday around 3 PM. They have lots ofcool memorabilia around and celebrity pictures. Clean bathrooms. They also have some outdoor seating but it was far too hot outthere for that when we went. Read more

We enjoyed Mel?s Drive in when we visited LA in 2019. We enjoyed lunch but this time we went to a different location and just... ordered snacks; cookies n? cream milk shake; strawberry milk shake and root beer float. All three were delicious and will alwaysvisit Mel?s Diner because we totally like the drive-in oldies vibe. We were bummed that our jukebox didn?t work. The restaurantwas playing great music. Great diner to go to if you want some food at all hours of the day. We came here for some late night eats and the service was... extremely fast. We ordered some apps including mozzarella sticks, bacon ranch cheese fries and chicken nuggets. I wasn?t a fanof the mozzarella sticks but you have to order the bacon ranch cheese fries! The milkshakes here are also very delicious. Forkids the nuggets come in a cute little car which fits perfectly with the theme. Can?t wait to come back for breakfast here! Read more

Awesome low key breakfast/lunch shack located in the busy and fancy downtown area. The inside looks straight out of a movie from... the 60's. Service was a great and prices were fair. I went with chicken and waffles. Chicken was surprisingly crispy and thewaffle was made with eggs and bacon inside of it which was very unique. We took a chocolate milkshake to go. Check this placeout for a lunch in the unique Beverly hills area. Cheers Read more
