Last night, my friend called to see if I could meet her this evening and help her kill some time before she picked her husband... up at the airport. Malibu Wines & Beer Garden was handy to both of us so we agreed to meet there. It suited us to a tee! Thestaff was super friendly and helpful and the wine was lovely. Best of all was the comfortable, topanga-y feel to the grounds.Even with a Saturday night crowd, my friend and I had a wonderful time, sipping wine and chatting. Read more
Go here for the atmosphere. Came around 7pm on a Saturday, reserved the table Friday night. Was full, definitely get a... reservation. Got a good wine selection (don't expect anything crazy fancy). I'm more of a beer guy and they have lots of goodbeer options on tap. Reservation payment goes toward your final bill. Got a food truck for Mexican food, and a tent area wherethey serve brick oven pizza. Gotta go up and pay for it, then they'll text you when it's ready. Pretty much serve yourselfsituation. Atmosphere is great, at night the lights along the trees make for a beautiful environment. Gotta get valet onweekends. My date definitely enjoyed herself. The drive through Malibu and the valley was nice. Overall 9/10 would recommend. Read more

Heaps of outdoor seating with some games, small selection of beers to choose from. Great place for birthdays, bachelor /... bachelorette parties, anniversaries. Unfortunately, you?ll need to make advance plans/reservations to get a table close toamenities or else you?re pushed all the way to the end of the bar (where presents reside), they also charge for parking @ aplace that?s in the middle of no man?s land! Came here for my birthday and had an amazing time. Staff was friendly. Ambience was magical. Wines were very tasty (i recommend... getting a flight). I also loved that they allow food deliveries, which solves the issue of people wanting differentfoods/cuisines. Read more
This place blew us away. Can't believe we didn't know it existed and drove all the way to Malibu for these vibes. Whole place is... nice and shaded by beautiful, tall trees, it's vast so covid friendly, comfortable tables and chairs where you have their beerand wine and picnic with any food you bring with you << they actually encourage this. They keep it misty in the valley heatwhich is nice, but wear mosquito spray. My legs were bites galore (my only critique of it.) Peaceful, Quiet, and they play greatBG music. We arrived before 12 on Saturday. I would like to say we were greeted but we were roughly asked if we had reservations and/or... were members by the doorman in a suit- we were casually dressed but not so underdressed we appeared we couldn't pay our tab. When we stated we did not have a reservation and were not, the doorman hesitantly said that they were busy and "We'll have tosee what we can do for you," and handed is over to the hostess. Leaving us with the impression we wouldn't be served becausethere wasn't room for us. The hostess politely explained there was a walk in section and it's location within the bar. We justmoved to the area, this is not a good impression that the doorman made. I get the feeling the doorman believes there's a dresscode which is not published, or my husband and I did not fit the exclusivity he was hoping to bring to the establishment today. As you can see from the photo there are ZERO other patrons at the time we arrived, so the "expectation" of business on hisbehalf certainly turned me away from wanting to give mine to this establishment again.
