My mom and I were at Jimmies today and as always had a wonderful time! On our last visit we had the scrod which was excellent... and Mom had a Manhattan with Maker's Mark. Today we had fish and chips along with freshly brewed decaf and the chocolate lavacake. Wonderful! Our waitress was very attentive. The views are spectacular! Read more
Horrible experience! Openly racist environment and staff. $80 worth of takeout thrown in between thin paper plates and shoved in... paper bag sideways. I?ve left cookouts with better wrapped food than what they tried. Besides the fish was definitely some soggythawed out mush. My husband picked up food and tipped appropriately. When he got home I was so offended I went back to complainbut was greeted by an obviously intoxicated older woman that was just plain rude. Use to be favorite restaurant. Birthday dinner for Mom - waitress dropped one of the four meals on the floor so they had to... remake. No offer for comp (food, snack) while remake being made. When Bill arrived: ?Auto gratuity added of 15% ?charge foralcohol in lemonade which was only suppose to be raspberry flavoring - when asked about it waitress said our friend (who doesnot speak good English) asked for liqueur which none of us heard since we were helping her. Turns out the Stoli was vodka andnot a liqueur. Did not add up at all especially since there were two of us not drinking alcohol. Waitress immediately saidshe'd take the charge off. We're still shaking our heads over this. ?Not that we were looking for some type of comp because ofthe ruined meal but there was nothing - no discount, offer of dessert, coupon, etc. offered. ?The GOOD part is the birthday girl(97) had stuffed sole that she really enjoyed that night and as reheated (in in foil in oven 15 min 350°) the next night. Good reviews led me... here and normally I would order a combo to try several items but I just had a hankering for ???? lobster so I settled on thelobster roll. The roll itself was not oversized but it had nothing but lobster and butter. No fillers at all. Awesome. Thelobster was jucy and tender, perfectly cooked and the clarified butter was as good as it gets. Avoid at all costs! The worst food we have had! The cleanliness of the restaurant is questionable. The menu had many... alterations done with a pen. The staff seemed lost when a question was asked. The overall experience was way below par. Thesoup was watery and had no flavor and the crab wasn't even real but an imitation. How pathetic! We will not even considervisiting this place! Read more
