Expected more from this place especially when viewing menu pricing. Limited menu with big pricing. Had fish fry. Cole slaw was... horrible. Dinner didn't even include a roll and butter. They bring a basket of crackers?? Useless unless u order a soup. Potatooption was limited. Value for cost not good. Food marginal and some poor. Read more
Wow - visiting WNY and had heard about this place but it was our first time ever. Steak was cooked perfectly and service was... prompt and friendly. Great portions and nice vintage country setting. We had reservations for the start of serving on a Saturdayand the place filled up pretty fast. Hope to visit again. Read more
Stopped there for dinner 20 years ago and had the best Australian lobster tail. Paid a visit last night 4/30/21 and ordered the... Australian lobster tail again. Still outstanding and cooked to perfection. Ordered a porterhouse to go with the lobster and thattoo was cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is cozy and service is friendly. It?s no surprise this family owned restaurant iscelebrating their 80th year in business today. We will definitely visit this gem more often. Got to love The Dog Bar. Read more
Reservations are preferred. Luckily I got a table because the building, atmosphere, service and food were all excellent. Quiet... and comfortable. Staff was extremely attentive. Reasonable prices. Great atmosphere and really good food. Lobster was huge and amazing. Fried seafood was amazing! Look forward to going again.
MIXED FEELINGS.....Upon walking in, I immediately loved this restaurant. You could feel the history of the building and enjoy... checking out all the memorabilia on the walls. We wanted this to be our next favorite restaurant! Based on portion size and ourappetite, we decided to order from the "Not So Much" entrees. The NY steak was delicious and perfectly prepared, but we wereunderwhelmed by the rest of the meal. The salad was just average, tin foil wrapped baked potato and the home-made roll basketcontained two biscuits and two fairly dry butterscotch muffins. Over all, we were disappointed. Read more
Went back to the Dog Bar for the first time in many years. The experience was as memorable as ever. The food was terrific -... best lamb chops and lobster you will have anywhere?..period. The accompaniments- soup, salad, potato were all high quality andincluded with the base dinner. Service was outstanding. Will be back again soon. Read more
