Happy Dog is a great place for a hot dog, gyro, pizza pocket or a Polish. The building is really small, so there is no eating... inside, but they have many picnic benches for eating outside. Love the sides also, like the cheese curds with marinara and theonion rings. And the Italian Beef egg rolls. Read more
I pass this place a few times a month and I finally stopped and I am glad I did. Cute from the inside and busy inside with a... counter to order and pay then you step outside choose a picnic table or wait near your car they call your name on a loudspeakerand you go in and get your order All in all the wait was about 5 minutes, pretty steady customer flow too. A # 1 consists oftwo Vienna Chicago beef hot dogs with the works and french fries and one soda. Two of us ordered this and we were pleasantlysurprised that the hot dogs were individually wrapped each with fries. So it was very easy to split between my husband and I.He ordered the barqs root beer and it was delicious some places just don't have the fountains right but this place does!! Themenu has burgers different wraps salads even gyros. We will definitely be back; a nice easy place to stop in get quick serviceand good food. I might add their hot dog is not nearly as skinny as some of the bigger chains which has been very disappointing.I love that I found this little place nearby and can't wait to go back. I have always wanted to stop and grab a Chicago Style hot dog here but the timing has never been right until today. The dog was... properly prepared and wrapped up with fries as it should be. You can't get this kind of cuisine just anywhere. The best part ofthe experience is the conversation with the proprietor while your order is being prepared. The human connection. Therelationship.
