Probably the worst restaurant experience of my life. Absolutely horrendous service. First of all the menus are made from printer... paper stapled together. How cheap can you be? Our waitress took our orders and told us someone called out. Ok, no big deal, wemight have to wait a few extra minutes, right? Well that was the last time we ever saw her. She was standing in front of acomputer screen at the bar the rest of the night. We didn't get our drinks/bread/appetizer for 45 minutes, and that's onlybecause we flagged the hostess down. Shorthanded or not, you don't leave people sitting there sipping water like idiots for 45minutes. The hostess and another waitress had to bring us everything because our waitress forgot we existed. We didn't get ourdinners for probably another 40 minutes after the appetizer. The staff was nice and kept apologizing saying it's not normallylike this, but I see other complaints about their service on Google too.The food was decent, nothing special though. Also thisisn't really their fault, but it was extremely noisy. We could barely have a conversation with eachother. The manager came toour table and apologized for the terrible service but unbelievably still didn't offer a discount or coupon or anything likethat. I drove 35 miles for this restaurant that used to be great before Covid. Sadly, the food was mediocre. Cheap ingredients,... overcooked pasta, saltless frozen calamari, watery salad, tasteless tomato sauce, ultra-cheap canola oil sold for olive oil (!).We waited for 30 min for an appetizer and the staff even complained for being short handed. On the positive side, the waitresswas polite and felt almost sorry for our poor dining experience. She’s not responsible for the owners’s shortcomings, ofcourse. But despite the terrible food, the most egregious thing happened at the end when the owner came out of the kitchenbasically yelling at us for being the only unsatisfied customers, who (according to her) had done nothing but complaining. Wepaid the bill, tipped the waitress 20% and left. We will never be back. Read more
We used to love this place. My husband was born and raised in Italy, we go there every year to see his family. We wanted to... spend our 10th year anniversary in a place we loved. Used to be long time customers. Quality went down substantially. 45 min toget appetizers. Waiters kept apologizing. Rice balls were microwaved. Calamari was frozen. Judy came out and said it was hard tohire people who wanted to work. What? Then dont take tables you cant handle- we had a reservation. My kids felt asleep waitingfor their food. Rice balls were microwaved. Pasta had no salt and was over cooked. Not the experience we were used to and lovedfor the past 5+ years. Picture of chicken parmesan in soupy overcooked pasta. I've eaten here a handful of times and every time I'm just as impressed. The food is amazing, very rich. All the apps are great... but the artichokes, meatballs and suppli are particularly amazing. Love all the pasta entrees, veal, chicken ossobuco, seafood, of it's really great, and don't forget the homemade ricotta cheesecake! Read more
If I could give a place 10 stars, it would be this place! AMAZING FOOD!! The service is unmatched, so personable and friendly.... Not to mention it’s a BYOB! I don’t think this place could get any better. The mozzarella caprese was the best I’ve everhad. The dressing on the lettuce is so unique and delicious. The gnocchi and chicken/veal parm is DELICIOUS. I love this placebecause they let you order any pasta dish as an appetizer for half the price, plus $3, so you can really get a variety ofoptions for a fraction of the price. I got the tiramisu and it was the best I’ve ever had. This was my first time dining hereand I’m convinced this is my boyfriend and I’s new “go to dinner spot”. I will be taking friends and family who arevisiting town here for an authentic delicious meal. If you don’t eat here, you’re really missing out! Read more
Have been coming here for many years for lunches, dinners and Christmas Eve every year and will continue to. I am not sure about... the few bad reviews I just noticed, maybe it was an off night or you just like to bash hard working people. This place has beenconsistent with food, service and the family that owns it. It is frustrating to read insulting reviews about "paper menus""short staffed" and "microwaved items". You realize after covid hit everyone moved to paper because it is easy to throw out andreprint. You also must realize every business is STILL short staffed unless you've been living under a rock. Did this personclaiming food was microwaved actually witness the wonderful chefs there doing so...(highly doubtful). These owners put theirblood sweat and tears into what they do. I have never had a bad meal here in over 5 plus years. This place is a true authentic,old school Italian restaurant with the freshest ingredients. I cannot wait to go back to see Gigi, Judy and their accommodatingstaff. We are having my bridal shower here this year and from prior experience attending a small wedding it was wonderfully donewith zero complaints. See you soon! Read more
