Our server was for the most part unavailable. After we were seated another server came over and took our drink orders. ... Eventually our server showed up and took our orders. I should have known by her attitude our visit was not going to go well. After we received our food two of us realized we did not have knives. Unable to see our server on the floor we tried to make dowith our forks until she came back. After 5 minutes I went and took knives off of another table. About 15 minutes after wereceived our food she came over to ask if everything was okay. I told her we needed knives but I already obtained them fromanother table. She grunted and walked away, that was the last time we saw her. When were finished she was again no where to befound. I had to go to the check out counter and tell the gentleman there where we were seated to get our check and pay. Do notorder the fried chicken and waffles if you are expecting fried chicken. It is something similar to Perdue chicken nuggets cutinto pieces. My granddaughter had a breakfast meal that included hash browns. The hash browns were over cooked on the bottomand under cooked on top. Overall our entire experience was very disappointing. Read more
Typical restaurant food. Ordered the fish and chips and it was so greasy it was almost inedible. Also ordered onion rings that... were so over fried they were hard to eat. I would definitely stay away from the pickled beets as they were in Italian dressinginstead of a vinegar base. They were the worst pickled beets I ever had in my life. Had the Reuben. It was very good. Coleslaw was so-so. Fries were good. My husband ordered the Chicken cheese steak and he said... it was dry and had no flavor. However....... A waitress came and took our drink order, then another waitress came a few minuteslater asking to take our drink order too. When we told her that So & So just took the order she got upset, got an attitude andstomped off. Apparently, the waitresses are not happy with each other and it showed. Making comments about taking customersthat's not theirs etc ...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. If they have problems, they need to air it out NOT Infront of customers. Just forthe fact that the waitresses were angry each other and aired it in the dining room, I may reconsider going back again. If Iwanted to hear people argue, I would have stayed home and listened to the teenagers in my house. Maturity people. It's a thing. Read more
Decent south jersey diner. Been here forever, they added a bar. The food is pretty good. Turkey Club was great and the turkey is... carved. Also got the BLT which was just as good. Beware of the kids menu... The kids meal we got was a rip-off. The mac andcheese wasn't even as good as craft. Had chunks of overcooked clumps. Also comes with ice cream we forgot about. Read more
Place was nearly empty, I asked for a table and was taken to the very back table and they placed the menu on the place where I... would be facing the wall. I don't know anyone who wants that. Food was good, I ordered a patty melt and the burger was deliciousand fresh. Service was good. Read more
Stopped here after a client recommended the diner if I wanted a good breakfast. I got the Alexander with bacon and was taken... care of by Kim. Food was excellent, atmosphere was nice, and great service. Will be back again when I am in the area. Read more
Our party of 6 dined at Palace today for breakfast and really enjoyed our meals. My kids had their go to favorites, chocolate... chip pancakes and eggs over easy with toast. My husband enjoyed a big plate of eggs over medium with a large portion ofbreakfast meats on the side. I ate my whole spinach and cheese omelet plus the home fries and my friends enjoyed their meals aswell. Our waitress was attentive and the staff are friendly. Our meal came to just over $100 which I feel is fine giveneverything we ordered plus some sides. I've been eating at Palace diner for over 20 years and will continue to dine here as longas I'm in the area. Read more
The food here was delicious! 1st time here..Got an omelet & home fries, asked for it well done. So good! Coffee decent, not... bad. Thank God not another place that slaps cheese on it & tosses it in the microwave. Very well cooked food & really tastyflavors. My husband's breakfast was delish as well!
