The ambiance of the building that's about the only exceptional quality. The food is okay. The pricing is low but cash only. We... were told to seat ourselves, but the only tables were dirty or corner tables with one chair. No staff bothered to clear thetables. When we got someone to she seemed annoyed, and was equally annoyed when my husband asked of he could get over easy eggsa la carte. You would think he'd asked for something inappropriate the way she looked at him. No napkins were brought to thetable. Only the ones left from the previous occupants. As the tables around us emptied they didn't clean any of them either. They had plenty of staff but most of them didn't look like they were even out of middleschool and seemed dazed and shy like theydidn't know what they were supposed to do. We were in and out fast. The only one who was warm towards us was the front cashierwith the long dark hair. Read more

Mom and I stopped in for breakfast and were we pleasantly surprised! The food was very good and the prices , very reasonable.... Maybe just a bit friendlier staff. We were not greeted and did not know where to sit or if we could. Need some direction foryour guests...and your staff. Other than that a wonderful place! Read more

My new favorite restaurant in West Bend. The food is delicious and well priced. The decor is old and but very... charming. Unfortunately, I do have one concern...perhaps room for improvement for the future. They leave their front doorwide open while open for business. It is actually a very welcoming European touch and provides a nice cross breeze thru therestaurant. However, throughout my whole meal, there were 3 pesky flies who kept landing on my food, drinks and table. Thewaitress and cook noticed me swatting at them and they did their part by swishing them away, but to no avail????. Perhaps ascreen door on the front door someday would help? Cindy Read more

In March, I hosted a small baby shower for my best friend at Idle Hour. The space provided an amazing backdrop for a "little... cutie" themed baby shower. Food was fresh and delicious. The vibe was chill. And the staff were some of the loveliest, mostaccommodating, most kind group of young women I've ever encountered!Needless to say, the shower was a flawless event andeverything I had dreamed of in my planning! Kudos to Edie and the team at Idle Hour for their professionalism, courteousnessand generosity! Read more

I love coming here with my mother and my daughter. The food is delicious and different from what you might find at other places.... The decor is fantastic! Great care has been taken to choose interesting antique accents throughout the restaurant. I love thatthere is always a jigsaw puzzle available to place a piece or to just got fun. They offer hand painted coffee mugs for sale aswell as home made scones and cookies. Truly delightful! Read more
