First time trying Capri, heard good things from family and friends. The dining area is very cozy but not cramped, and they offer... patio dining. We were greeted right away by a great staff and promptly given a table. Our server was awesome and made us feelwelcome despite the growing crowd of customers. Our pazzi sticks were gigantic but were very tasty, definitely not for the lightsnacker. The main dishes were absolutely fantastic, I chose classic lasagna and my wife had the fettuccine alfredo with shrimpwhich both came with slices of THE best garlic bread I've ever had. Capri di nuovo has taken another two customers away fromthat "Mama" joint up the road, this is our new italian place. Read more
As much as the new owners would like to think they are honoring the original Capri. They seem to be having a hard time with one... thing. The food. Our family has given time for growing pains, staff changes, supply chain issues and just about any other excusewe have heard for why things are just not the same. No more. Long story short. Almost Sauceless pizza, burnt/hard/bland garlicbread, bland marinara sauce, shrinking portion sizes and missing items. Mama, here We come. Read more
It was okay. Our server was amazing but the food was just alright. The Alfredo is lacking a lot of sauce and upon reheating the... next day it is nothing but oil. Not sure why everyone raves about this place. Read more
Had the lasagna special. Ordered lasagna with mushrooms. In the past the mushrooms were free but this time there was a charge... for them. The lasagna was hot and tasty. A buttered garlic bread was included. We asked for extra butter but it wasn't drenchedin butter like in the years long ago. I have been coming here for 40 plus years. I'm so glad they have not changed their recipedespite new owners thru the years. We ate on the patio which I was so happy because of covid and also it was a beautifulevening. We just ate here for the first time and will definitely be back. My family enjoyed the "Stallis" pizza with Pan crust, it was... well worth the wait (although we all agreed it had *gasp* a little too much cheese - we'll try the Chicago crust next time).Mozzarella sticks were excellent and a generous portion for the price. They have half price desserts on Sunday so we all orderedcannoli - due to a plate shortage we received a "cannoli tower" which tasted as delicious as it looked. This is a smallrestaurant and it was very busy. We still received excellent service. Looking forward to trying some other menu items in thefuture. Read more
Wow, the food was amazing. We started with Pazzi Stix, they were the biggest, most delicious garlic mozzarella sticks we've ever... had! My son had the Italian Beef Sandwich on a garlic bread loaf, so good. My wife had the Stuffed Chicken Alla Marsala, it wasa large portion and so delicious! Oh, and the garlic bread was the best! We said it was better than another Italian restaurantin Milwaukee, known for their garlic bread! The server was very friendly, always filling our drinks and the service wasexcellent! We will be back! Very welcoming, wonderful smells of genuine Italian cooking. Lasagna Trio was delicious, as was Chicken Parmesan. Alex,at the... bar and serving, was friendly and helpful. Plenty of leftovers to take home, and couldn't resist taking some Cannoli also. Read more
The Staff was very friendly, very accommodating and attentive to the customers needs as people walked in and wanted to either be... seated inside or on the patio. I was asked several times by a different staff member if I'm being helped or needed anything. Mypizza ???? was delicious, just as I ordered it, & I like the "show and tell" method the Staff gives every customer when they arepicking up their to go orders. Not only do they repeat back the order as you are standing there, but they show you your pizza(s)and/or other menu orders to be sure it's exactly what you wanted when you placed it.
