Let me first start out by saying I usually don't do fancy restaurants that have a long wait and not enough space. I was blown... away by my experience here. The staff are all so welcoming and efficient they gave us our wait time and showed us the bar wecould visit while we waited. We were told 45 minutes and it wasn't even 20 on a Friday night at 530pm. Our food was beyondexceptional and the portions were double we thought they would be. Steak cooked to perfection and the sides were amazing. Ourwaitress was so attentive. I was shocked at the end of the night expecting our bill to be way more for the quality and quantity. We can't wait to go back. Read more

Worth the 40 minute wait. The steak was a beautiful cut and cooked to perfection . The French onion soup was masterful! Yes even... their Cesar salad was bar none! House made croutons and dressing served very cold is their key! We sat in the bar areadownstairs which was more to our liking. Very cozy and the seating was ever so comfy...not usually the case for me in a barsetting! The waitstaff were a well oiled machine and very friendly and patient! Even with the long wait we didn't feel rushednor did the staff seem frazzled! We went back! Read more

The surf-and-turf was great. Happy to be there on a quiet night during the off-season. First time back in 15 years. Loved it and... hope to return sooner than later. Read more

This is a tough one, because ever since I moved to Southern Maine everyone and their mother has been telling me how good the... Steakhouse is in Wells. I have to say the caeser salad and the onion soup were amazing but the namesake dish, the steak, wasjust ok. The steak was perfectly cooked but was devoid of any sort of seasoning. They did serve a blue cheese garlic butter withit but the flavor overpowered any steak flavor. If I was going for the apps I would go back but if I wanted a good steak I don'tthink this would be my first choice. Read more

This an excellent steakhouse. Their meat is aged and cooked to perfection. Menu also offers plenty other choices. The pot of... beans are delicious and cute. If lucky enough to have stewed tomatoes on the menu get them. Sugary lumps of red bliss. Not toosugary, just right. Made from scratch. Not out of a can. Happy to learn that this restaurant in southern Maine had no fried foodon the menu, a bonus! Read more
