One of my favorite restaurants due to quality, fresh, local food and excellent service. Visited last on 6/17/22 with friends;... gnocchi was a taste of heaven, crab cakes, chowder and bread basket were all wonderful. Duck and lamb dishes were superb.However two of us ordered the haddock with caramelized onion crust, a dish I have had in the past and it was packed with flavor,but this time the crust did not have the same robust flavor which was disappointing. The decor of this place was very nice and clean. The food was just okay,the fish chowder was delicious. We both ordered the... haddock and when the main course came one haddock was larger than the other and had more veggies with it.I had a meal in thecenter of Ogunquit, spent less money and had a better meal. This was such an incredible discovery. The atmosphere is so classy and cozy. Every dish was out of this world. We had the duck... and chicken dishes followed by crème brûlée and key lime pie and a couple of pomegranate cosmos. Just spectacular, everydish. They have their own homemade organic bread. And if that wasn?t good enough, the service was simply the best. You can notgo wrong visiting this exquisite establishment. A definite must. Thank you for a wonderful visit! Read more
Joshua's is the best restaurant we've eaten at in Maine. We try to get there twice during our short visit each spring. I order... the fish special; my husband gets a meat dish. Both are always delicious. Tonight, we added salad and dessert. Wait staff were,as always, friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself takes you back to a time when things were made to last and quality ineverything mattered. Thank you, Joshua's!! 10. 28.20 Came back for more! Everything as superb as ever - and in a sociallydistant environment. Perfection. 5.26.21 Eating at Joshua's really makes our vacation. I called a week in advance to getreservations for two nights. I had salmon and haddock; my husband had the filet and rack of lamb. Salad and mushrooms before theentres, and the first night, we treated ourselves to the key lime pie for dessert. The wait staff, as always, wasdelightful. I will dream about these meals until we return next year. Totally divine - every last morsel! I had to restrain myself long enough to take photos before diving in. Unfortunately, neither one of us hadthat discipline when the Caesar salad and shrimp appetizer arrived. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our server was so much fun and personable, fun to talk and laugh with. She was also very... knowledgeable about the menu and able to help when we needed. The food was exceptionally fresh and light, so we ate heartyportions and never felt stuffed by any means. Truly appreciate the experience and cannot wait to return. From out of town and recommended to try Joshua by our friends as a must-go restaurant in the Ogunquit area. Kate was our server... and the absolute best. We got crab cakes, the chicken and the swordfish - all incredibly flavorful and clearly fresh from thefarm. The fudge cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream was to die for. Highly recommend!
