This is my second trip to a Floyd?s establishment. First Beaumont and then here to the original location in Webster. The food... packs a kick of flavor you can?t find a lot of places. This trip I ordered the seafood gumbo and had to send it back because itwas barely warm like it was not fresh. I expect my gumbo to be piping hot. Not balmy. The Mahi-Mahi was fantastic. I had itblackened and topped off with a creamy crawfish tail sauce that was excellent. The Mahi redeemed the restaurant where the gumboalmost killed it for me. Don?t get me wrong the gumbo had flavor and the filé on top makes the dish but it was Luke warm evenafter they brought it back the second time. I didn?t complain because if you can?t make it hot the first and second time thenyou aren?t going to be able to get it hotter the third time. I would give it another chance down the road. Read more
I love the Floyd's in pearland, and was pleasantly surprised to see one in Webster when we had to run errands in this area. So... we decided to try this location. Dinner started with a side Caesar salad. (8.99) it was tiny & had some rotten pieces oflettuce. They exclaim homemade dressing on the menu, but I would have been more satisfied with a bag of salad at Heb. A gnatcrawled across the table as I waited for my entree. I ordered the shrimp poboy they should have been butterfly shrimp. I feltlike they put popcorn "kids meal" shrimp on it. All the breading was falling off. No flavor. I did not finish. We also got thechicken fried steak . Guys seriously, they made the potatoes look fancy but the texture and flavor of the steak was that of a TVdinner. Highly disappointed . On the bright side, the waitress was nice but she wasn't attentive...no refills throughout wholedinner...and the fries were hot and palatable.(2 stars for that ) I would not return. Food was TOP NOTCH, no qualms whatsoever about it. The atmosphere was also really nice, same with the server. Would definitely... recommend. It is however pretty expensive, so just keep that in mind. Read more
Stopped in here after church since my 3yo wanted fried shrimp. I got the special appetizer for myself. Tuna crab tower and it... was amazing and super filling. If I had one negative it would be that it could have used a little garlic salt. Everything was sofresh and delicious. My family got fried whomp and a grilled chicken breast. I ordered on doordash, but I called ahead and got a recommendation from someone who answered the phone, blackened snapper. It... did taste good, but for the serving size and amount of vegetables it was overpriced. $28 Ordered the kids meal cheeseburger andhouse cut fries for my son. he loved the burger, but hated the fries. they were very very vinegary. I had a couple of themand agreed. Also order the bread pudding for dessert. It was slightly overcooked, and covered in coconut shavings. Wish itwould said that on the menu, as I would have asked to take that off or ordered something else. It came with a glaze on the sidethat made it okay. All in with delivery and driver tip, it was $62 for me and my 8yr old. Might be a better experience inthe restaurant, but won't be ordering again for delivery. Read more
