Reviews for Josefina in Wayzata, MN
Josefina is one of my favorite spots. I’m always impressed with the food. Their patio is quaint and cute. The service is... wonderful. The pizza is some of the best in town. I went for brunch recently, and their espresso martini and chocolate briochepastry were incredible. Can’t recommend this place enough. Read more
As soon as we opened the door and walked in we loved this place. All the lighting and greenery sets the vibe right away. I love... the open concept of the restaurant you can see the bar, the whole dining room, patio, kitchen and pizza bar all from the entryway. It was such a beautiful day in Minneapolis which = brunch time. Everything we ordered was on point, had to add a coupledashes of pepper and salt but everyone liked their meals. I had the classic breakfast it was simple meal but very tasty. Thebreakfast potatoes were ????????. I wish they had French toast on the menu. The drinks were flavorful and mimosas were a goodportion. The whole place is a vibe, on the outside patio you get views of some million dollar homes overlooking the restaurantwhich add to the vibe. Only 2 cons: 1 the waitress carrying a tray on the patio dropped a bottle of hot sauce which broke allover me and my Burberry shoes. Now the waitress offered to clean my shoes which I refused because I didn’t want her on herhands and knees scrubbing a stain out of my shoe while I eat. But even after this the manager or no one came out to apologize, offer compensation or anything at all. 2. They have a bottle of Bollinger Champagne special cuvée for $24 a bottle which is amisprint it’s supposed to be $240. Now they should honor the price or throw away/ change the menus. Not a big deal to me itwas worth a shot to ask, but if you aren’t going to honor the price or at least go around an add a zero to it them order newmenus. Otherwise it was a great time with good food and good people. Read more
Had the most beautiful presentation for cocktails I've ever seen. Beautifully decorated and nice ambience. We just sat at the... bar and grabbed a cocktail and split a pizza. I did think the service was slow, they were very bust though. We got the fungipizza and it was good. Read more
Delicious! Classic dishes are served in a unique but not pretentious way, and there were dishes I've never heard of but glad I... tried. Only complaint I would have is it gets a bit noisy when the restaurant is filled. I think something to do with the wallsand flooring - while very open, it's really echoey. Read more
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the Twin Cities area for sure. It is located in Wayzata, which is already by itself... beautiful. Food-wise, fusili negra is a must, which is probably why they have this dish on their lunch, dinner, and takeoutmenus. I mean, it is lobster pasta, so why would you miss it? I also like radiatore, mafaldini cacio e pepe, and pappardelle. Iam not sure if they still have butternut squash ravioli, but that is a solid one as well, if it is available to order. Theagnoloti, I will say, can be a hit or miss, depending on people's desire on tasting the veal and pork, because the meat is notas strong. As for dessert, they have excellent chocolate budino and I highly recommend it. Keep in mind that I have only had thepasta here so far, so if you are looking for a review on their brunch or pizzas, then this review will not be helpful. Taking awalk by the lake after dinner at Josefina is an activity you should consider, after getting Ben and Jerry's ice cream not farfrom here ???? Read more
This place was hard to get a reservation at, but worth the wait! The food & drinks were so delicious (we ordered the burrata... salad caesar salad, rigatoni, focaccia bread, and oysters, dirty martini). Loved the atmosphere as well - would definitely goagain! Read more
I have mixed feelings about my experience there…we had reservations but yet we had to wait so long for the table while... everyone else around us got seated first. Then we wondered why our our entrees came out right away and turns out our appetizersweren’t ordered. I hope this was just coincidence and just a string of bad luck but I couldn’t help but feel judged. Otherthan that, the food was good. The pasta for the Pappardelle was a little harder than el dente, a little too hard for my tastebut the sauce was solid. The star of the show though was the Fusilli Negra. Man was this delicious! The squid ink pasta washearty and full of flavor. The sauce was rich, bold, and balanced. I would come back just for that dish! Read more
Loved this place! From start to finish it was a great overall experiance. Beautiful atmosphere and several types of seating so... if you make a reservation be sure you choose your preference right away. Patio, grill fire, bar, or general seating. We broughtour own bottle of wine as they have a $25 uncorking fee which j absolutely recommend to everyone. The service was slightly slowwhich was fine as we were catching up and we probably stayed for 3 hours and we visited when an outdoor festival was going on soit was busier then normal. Both of our pastas were amazing and dessert was to die for!!!! I did the Rigatoni Diavolo and thenoodles were so perfectly cooked and sauce was so flavorful and balanced. We did a 100% Cab Franc Italian red that I wouldhighly recommend as well with the dishes Read more
