Reviews for Maggie's Galley Seafood Restaurant in Waynesville, NC
While it was good it wasn?t next level good. It needed more seasoning on the shrimp and pasta dishes, the collard greens are... great. The waitresses were nice and while I?m not fond of frozen bagged fries when fresh ones are cheaper and easy to make atleast they were cooked well. A 4 star is justified. Nothing wrong and nothing extraordinary. Read more
Called ahead to be sure they had food my elderly mother could eat (she has a swallowing disorder), we're from a long ways away. ... Get there. Very few in the restaurant & when we're seated, we're told they're "all out" ... I was a mile away when I called. THEN the waiter bright the tea... we explained we were leaving, that he wouldn't charge us for the tea, um, no you won't, wedidn't touch them. Would not recommend at all. Read more

When the locals say it's their favorite it has to be good! My husband had oysters and flounder and I had the seafood casserole.... Both were excellent! Read more
Everything I ordered was good.. Practically all my cab meat came out whole, and the sweet potato casserole was amazing
We knew this place was going to be good when we read the reviews and saw how packed it was when we arrived. They took our phone... number down and called us when they had an open table for us, the food was great. Everything that we tried was delicious and theservice was exceptional. The ribeyes, lobster tails, fried oysters, desserts, and drinks were prepared beautifully. Read more
The only good things I can say was the waiter was a sweetheart and the restaurant was extremely clean. Their mozzarella stick... was good but not great. But other than that, their food was not good. My popcorn shrimp was way over cooked and tasted like itwas frozen, the twice baked potato was so hard that I could literally force my fork into it and pick it up and it would not falloff. They hush puppies was burnt/cooked in old oil. I do not recommend going here if you want good seafood. Read more
Maggie's Galley is a reliable place to enjoy seafood and much more. The value is there in this homestyle local favorite with a... bar. My husband loves Southern style food and this restaurant fits the bill. Recently he enjoyed a fried catfish and oysterplatter with red beans and rice and collard greens. I ordered what they call a "not so much" dinner...a smaller portion and verynicely priced. They serve a good trout which I got blackened with the red beans and rice. Just enough. This popular spot isalways crowded so check online for hours. Consistently great service, meals served promptly and hot. Maggie's Galley is thatkind of reliable and doesn't break the bank. Read more
