I wish they stayed open a bit later. We didn't arrive until 7 & they close at 8 on Mondays. My family of 3 visited this place... for the 1st time yesterday evening & the food was delicious. My hubby opted for the Western burger w/onion rings, our daughterordered The Sundrop & I ordered The Fun Guy. Everything was delicious! Are you kidding me? A cool place with excellent staff, excellent food, AND excellent beer?? Throw in pretty decent prices and... you've got a Waynesboro Winner! Yes, it is that good. We went after enjoying the Grand Caverns, up the road in Grottoes (checkthat out, too!) We rolled in after temps in the 90s already required a cold beer and hot burger. We got both and loved them! Stopped here for lunch with my sister a month ago. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The homemade Pub Chips were... amazing! If you like pimento cheese definitely order the Bacon Pimento Burger! The service was awesome as well, very friendlyand welcoming!! Read more
10 stars! Amy was an outstanding server and the food ? oh my. The fried green tomatoes wrap and tomato basil soup! Fabulous.... Loaded potato and a beautiful side salad. Will definitely be back. Oh and the chips are crunch perfection Edited to add justwent again to celebrate our 51 st Wedding Anniversary! Food great again. I had the pimento burger and we had a blue cheeseburger and the Wayne burger. We had 2 orders of the fried green tomatoes! They are outstanding! All burgers were actually cookedpink and juicy just the way we ordered them. We had the White Chocolate cheesecake. Simply wonderful amazing creaminess.Beautiful presentation. With a widespread power outage we drove over the mountain and found the river. What a great place! Delicious good, super... friendly staff, and great ambiance. One of the best burgers we have had in quite a while. We will be back for sure. Read more
I don?t come to Waynesboro often but a special trip was in order after doing business with the River Burger Bar for the last... year+. From first glance this may look like a normal bar but the kitchen is cranking out some serious flavor. I have nothingbut positive things to say about our meal. Who charges $7 for a side of exactly 7 onion rings. Portions are too small, even the burger..!! (3.5 ?/5) Other than that, River... is a small, cozy place with very good food and service. The bartender and waitress were so friendly. If this was in my place,I'd be coming regularly. The prices were fine, but the portion size is so less. A hungry heavy eater might want 2 burgers tofill.
