What an awesome addition to the area. We came with my parents and our 11 month old. They had a pretty decent selection of local... wines. We also had the baguette with some olive oil which was perfect as a little snack.\n\nThe aesthetic and atmosphere werevery cosy but up beat as well. They had some great live music that our little one was having so much dancing to. The staff werevery helpful and friendly. This is definitely a spot that we\'ll visit again. Read more
If you haven?t gotten out to The City Foxes yet you should GO! Everything is curated with such care from the retail shelves... featuring all Virginia-made wares (including some of my favorite maple syrup), to the local wine and food menu! The local cheeseboard I had was really delicious and well-balanced between salty and sweet options? so excited to come back and try more thingshere!! The atmosphere is great and I really appreciate how much locally produced foods and beverages are available. However, the food... we got was incredibly bland and really just not good, given how much it cost. The baguette with olive oil tasted like day oldbread and vegetable oil with no seasoning. The Barksdale sandwich also had almost no flavor to it and the bread was not verygood. The types of food on the menu are perfect, but based on our experience needs more seasoning and freshness. I went with some friends for opening night and we had a great time! Great selection of Virginia wines, warm atmosphere. One... thing we didn?t love was the plastic utensils, hoping that was just temporary. Also it would be nice if there was a standingarea to have a glass of wine while waiting for a table.\n\nSo happy to have a place like this in Waynesboro! Read more
Went to their family and friends night last night. What a great concept! All Virginia wines were being served. The food was... really good and they offer locally made merchandise and food products for sale. Highly recommend! Read more
I had two opportunities at the beginning of October to enjoy The City Foxes! First, when my sister-in law and I attended the... Grace Estate tasting event, and then again for a private event we booked for my parents 50th anniversary! The tasting wasexcellent, with multiple wines and lots of information from the maker!! Afterwards, we stayed and tried a couple other drinks,as well as the cheesecakes(so... good!!)!\nThe private, anniversary party went perfectly!\nThe space was just right for the45-50 guests that we had. Kelly and Brandon(the owners), graciously let us use their projector to run a slideshow we made for myparents, as well lending a hand for the setup and breakdown of everything!\nAlso, the staff they provided us with cannot gounmentioned! Veronica and Karina were key in helping the guests throughout the party, in addition to aiding in the setup andbreakdown as well.
