I honestly only write reviews when its 5 stars and a place really stands out. This place, is great! Me and my wife popped in... on a little date night, and we loved it. My wife is especially picky about sushi, and she had no complaints. (seriously she isPICKY about sushi) The owner is very cool, and really hooked us up. It also has to be said the view outside, and overallatmosphere was really nice. The only slight downside was that the service was a liiiittle bit slow, but you can tell they mighthave been a little understaffed that night. The staff was still very friendly, and every thing else more than made up for it,so I'm still giving it 5 stars. Read more
The entrees are very good but the sushi is subpar. I've ordered it multiple times and it's been the same. It's mostly rice and... not much protein. I would opt for other sushi restaurants in the area. On a side note, our waitress from the lunch time prettymuch ignored us. It was bad enough that I had to speak to a manager. Going forward, I'll just order takeout entrees which is ashame since it's such a beautiful view sitting along the resevoir. Read more
Nice location, nice place, looked like family owned, host was welcoming. Really nice outdoor seating in comparison to indoor... seating, interior of the restaurant was awful, given the location they could amp up the interior into something very catchy,being an interior designer couldn?t help but comment on the interior. I can help if you need, I am a Pompton lakesresident. Japanese section of the food was very good,goo shumai, sushi and the Thai spring roll, lo mein, fried rice andspecially the shrimp with broccoli was a awful, I would come back for appetizers and outdoor seating. Would love to help withinterior, don?t want the restaurant to go out of business. It takes one bad evening for a restaurant to go out of business.It?s very important in life to have good well wishers. With the owner?s response I have changed my mind about him and therestaurant. Super Highly recommended. We were a big party and they got all our orders correct!!! Very accomodating friendly, smilong staff,... and the food were all fresh an delish!!! Great lower patio by the lake where we got to chill a lil before leaving. Looking fwdto returning! Thank you!!! Read more
Absolutely, hands down, one of the best Chinese / Japanese restaurants I?ve ever been to. The owner, Jeff, makes you feel so at... home - even if it?s your first time there. The food is phenomenal. The view is amazing, such a beautiful location. An absolutemust try, highly recommend! Read more
Beautiful view of the water . quality food and kind servers. I went for lunch but i will be back for dinner soon! please... consider getting different tea pots. The ones used for green tea have to press against the individual?s cup to pour the teawhich is not so sanitary since it will be touching where someone drank . Came here for the first time super excited to try it and was super disappointed. We ordered Mongolian beef skewers and pork... dumplings as an appetizer. The beef skewers were raw!!! And cold in the middle disgusting. I informed our server who was superyoung and she didn?t know what to say. The pork dumplings were doughy. The sushi which I hate to say was horrible. The tuna waschewy. It tasted like super market sushi. It was not good. Owner and managers are nice. Probably not going back, but I guessworth a try if you get the Chinese food, not the Japanese! We visited Sunday evening. I have really enjoyed this restaurant in the past but was a little disappointed. We order soup,... appetizer and meals. Our server, a teenage girl?. Although nice, literally just threw everything on the table at one time. Wewould have loved to have had our soup before the next two courses were put on our table. In addition, I asked for white ricewith my meal and was charged an additional $2.00. Not that this is a lot of money but I found this additional charge, whichnormally comes with the meal, a bit annoying. Read more
