Amazing food, service & atmosphere!! I saw some reviews complaining about the slow service which concerned me at first but it... was the perfect speed of service from where I come from (Chicago). It was such a wonderful dining experience. Food wasauthentic & delicious (even have huitlacoche on the menu which is rare to find) margaritas were fantastic & the waitress was sopleasant. I highly recommend & I will come back next time I'm in town!! Read more

I have saw a couple posts about El Santo Coyote in Waycross being a well kept secret but was skeptical because every time we... drive by it?s empty. I am not sure why because everything about it is fabulous! It?s clean, the decor is amazing, the service isfast and attentive and the food is delicious! Read more

Food Review: El Santo Coyote is 100% the best Mexican Restaurant in town and I'm disappointed in Waycross for not supporting... this local business more! Regularly when I go in there is an empty house and I don't understand. There food is not onlyamazing, its fresh, including freshly made salsa right at your table WHICH YOU CAN PICK WHAT GOES IN YOUR SALSA! I have eatenthere plenty of times and have not been disappointed once! You walk in to great service, and uniquely created menus and aBEAUTIFUL environment! The place has amazing architecture, cultural significance and detail. The first time I went myjaw-dropped as I didnt expect a place to be this beautiful *attaching pictures* NOT TO MENTION the prices are affordable! Fortwo people it was $35 before tip, most people spend that at a place with less amazing service/quality food. Please support thisplace if you are able to. Waycross needs high quality places like this! Read more

Beautifully decorated, good location. Upon entering sign read please wait to be seated the place seemed deserted, no customer's... no visible staff. Walked about looking for staff in an empty restaurant at 11:30Am on a Tuesday. Found one person behind the barwho was now our hostess and server, this was the only staff encountered during our visit. My wife and I ordered the Fiestasnachos for 16.95 and shared, not quite up to comparison to any Mexican restaurant I have ever visited in quantity or quality, very disappointed with everything during our visit. Don't waste your time at this restaurant, anywhere else you can find will bebetter than El Santo Coyote. Read more

Really enjoyed the atmosphere; music, decorations and outside seating option! I?ve never had salsa made in front of me before,... such a fun experience with a very kind waitress. Very different than any other Mexican restaurant I?ve been to. I thought mychicken flautas was okay, could have used a little more flavor. I?d go back, but definitely want to try something else. Wow just doesn?t cover our experience here! Very authentic decor and menu. We had the guacamole and it was amazing. It tasted as... good as the guacamole we had in Mexico! The margaritas were perfect! The salsa was made table side and was great too. I had theyummy taco salad. Family ordered chicken burrito, kids beans and cheese burrito, and tampiquira. For dessert the flan was sorich and delicious, portion was big enough we all shared. Everything was absolutely delicious. My mother in law and I couldn?tfinish our taco salad and burrito so we have food for later. We already plan to come again next week!! Oh, and the staff wasamazing and attentive! Read more

My husband and I visited tonight for the first time. The restaurant was not crowded but it seemed only two servers were... working. Crystal was very attentive but did mention she had 15 tables at one point this evening because several workers justdidn't show up for work. I believe the owner's daughter was the other one working who made the salsa at our table (which wasfantastic - they even roast fresh tomatoes for this!) I had fajitas and Dave had a chimichanga - both were delicious. I'll behaving left overs for lunch tomorrow. We will definitely return. Read more

Thought we'd try something new for date night (2/12/22) instead of our usual spots - and this place was recommended to me ... We... definitely will NOT be going back ... literally EVERYTHING took forever from the time we got there to be seated in a more thanhalf empty restaurant all the way to getting our check to leave. There was no line, nobody waiting to get seated and it stilltook almost 10 minutes to get seated. Then it took forever to get our salsa to go with our chips. The salsa definitely wasn'tgood, even though it was made right there at the table ... The white cheese (queso blanco) dip was super runny. My food wasplated well and tasted good. He didn't get his rice that he requested. The couple that was leaving warned us at the door that itwas bad service ... We should've listened. A couple came in and were seated but after nobody went to talk to them after 10minutes, they got up and left without even ordering drinks yet. My bf kept saying maybe they were having a bad night ... I'msure that this wasn't the case. Yeah, I understand short staffing ... But this was way more than just short staffing. Ourwaitress, I'm sure she meant well, but every time she came to our table, she'd stay and talk for 5 minutes ... She literallytalked more than we did the entire almost 2 hours we were there (yeah ... I'm telling you it was super slow service) ... Hedidn't care for the salsa, cheese or rice ... Oh ... And did I mention this same meal would've cost $30 at Rodeo right down thestreet and would've tasted better?!?! The bill was $49 and some change for subpar food and even worse-slow service. Minus hisrice - the picture shows our food ... And we both only drank Coke... Read more
