Went to dinner here with a friend. We chose to sit at the bar. The meal we ordered was prepared perfectly and was delicious. Our... glasses were kept full of our preferred beverage. I haven't been to this applebees in about 2 year the last time I went I was extremely disappointed. But my wife and I decided... to see if they had gotten any better so we went to check them out today. When I go to a place I'm unfamiliar with or I have hadissues with in the past I test the waters with a burger. Generally a burger is one of the cheapest items available and it's alsosomething simple. The idea behind this is that if they cant make a decent burger can I trust them to cook anything elsecorrectly. So I ordered a bourbon street mushroom and swiss I also asked for it to be medium. The burger was ok I would haveenjoyed it more if it was cooked medium like I had asked for instead of well done it would have also been nice to have sauce allover the burger instead of on just one side. We came in (3) on a early Saturday afternoon. Not really anyone in there but a few tables. An older woman came over looking... flustered and told us to have a seat. It's been crazy. Fine. We were waiting for 3 more people anyway. We were seated shortlyafter. Becca was our server. I'm only giving a star because she was the ONLY server in the restaurant. She was great. Can't sayenough good things about her. She kept apologizing- even though NOTHING was her fault. The manager was apparently interviewingsomeone in a booth next to us and it was so unbelievably unprofessional it gave our whole table the creeps. The food tasted goodbut they did mess up one of the orders, even though the server put it in correct. Becca was taking orders, running food,bringing food back that was wrong, and nobody stepped in to help. The old lady that first spoke to us continued to walk aroundwith a cleaning rag in her hand. We watched a party get turned away at the door. Meanwhile manager was asking this new prospectabout her first marriage and confirmed she had already interviewed the day before with someone else. If you're hurting that badfor servers( poor Becca) than 2 interviews is a waste of everyones time. Are they going to have the staff to train this girl? Dobetter. Well We'll, I'd have to say that I should have stayed home and maybe prepared my own meal of my own choice for the evening! As... for the bourbon steak & garlic potatoes I ordered, wasn't the best I've eaten in the past few visits prior! The X $1.00 I spentfor the shrimp special ended up in the gutter if you know what I mean! Didn't care for them, Maybe u might, I'm just saying! Allin all, the bar keep himself was very respectful and helpful to say the least, I made sure I took care of his service for thevisit, it just wasn't the quality of flavor of food that I know this neighborhood grill is capable of, what happened Applebee's,I do hope to visit again at some point, so try it yourself and make your own personal views be know to all who may ask, As afriendly suggestion to the owner, not all of your patrons who visit may not want to indulge in your medium to high octane ofspirits available, So is there anyway to have some 0 Percent spirits on hand so they can enjoy there evening also, Safety forall your patrons should alway's be first, not to say U don't think this way, thanks for listening, Concerned Patron, GOD Blessyou all!!!!!!!! When we came in there was a bit of a wait to be seated once we were seated it took about 10 minutes before the server came to... greet us once she came she was relatively nice the food looked amazing it was all fresh I ordered wings and the new loaded frieswhich one both lukewarm not hot a server seems like she had an overwhelming amount of tables as she wrestled and bustled aboutshe forgot items of condiments and silverware for our table other than that everything was fine Read more
Update: Very good dessert. Very rude servers . We are eating and they are complaining about going home and the struggles of... being a server, ok. The host was extremely sarcastic and said "I love being a Host" as we left the restaurant in a veryuncomfortable manner. I'll come back next year. Get another job we all hear you complaining ???? Me and my dad came here the 8th of July and me and my dad both got the same thing from the 2 for 22$ menu, the Classic... Cheeseburger, and it was very good! My burger was very crispy and good while the fries was also very good! We also got here atthe perfect time, about 20 minutes after they opened. There was like no people there and there was no wait for us to order andget food. Very good and very tasty! The waiter was also very nice and kind! Anyway, next time I leave Jacksonville, FL over tothe way to Waycross ill see if I can come back with my mom! Read more
You could tell the hostess doesn?t want her job she mumbles under her breath and slumps around like she doesn?t wanna talk to... you. You can tell the difference in your drinks depending on who the bartender is. I?m sure the older gentleman is a great guybut there was no alcohol in my $10 drink and I should?ve asked for a remake but I don?t like to do that. Our food though wasphenomenal and so was our waitress! But I wasn?t able to get her name but she had the section of booths inside that are closestto the outside seating area on 12-5-22 around 7pm. She was amazing and seems to be the only one trying up there. Read more
