Stayed nearby this year while on vacation. This is a very cool store with great staff. Their subs, sandwiches, and breakfast are... absolutely the best. In the 7!days we were in Salvo we came by 3 times to get subs, sandwiches, or their Wake and Bake breakfastburrito which is out of this world. Very good beer selection, old school candies, snacks, and goodies. Well worth the stop in tocheck out the store and meet the staff. Read more
One of the places I'm most excited to go to on vacation is Waves Market and Deli. I always go multiple times a day to get... drinks, snacks and other essentials I may have left at home. Wicked good beer and wine selection, with lots of unique flavors. Ilove that they both have local goods and international treats. Always a great surprise to be found! The burritos and fries withwhite sauce are to die for. Be sure to order ahead and order sandwiches to take to the beach or wherever your vacation leadsyou. Read more
If your not going to Waves Market in the Rodanthe/Waves/Salvo area you are missing the coolest market. Not just in the area,... anywhere. I would love to have a place like this in my town. Great place to get beer or wine. They have a massive variety. Youcan load up on snacks, grab some Boar's Head meat and cheese, or some souvenirs. However, do not pass up the food here. This isa hidden gem. Everything I've had here was amazing. The last time I was in the area I ate here at least five times. Thebreakfast burritos are the best around. The staff is also super cool and chill. They have always been friendly and easy tostrike up a conversation. Would give 10 stars. Read more
Waves is the type of place you can only hope to find on every vacation. When your sandwich is wrapped in butcher paper, you know... something tasty is on the way. These aren't mere sandwiches; These are meals. Ate there for two mornings on a three night tripand then got one for the ride home. Taylor pork roll is always nice to see as an option. And they pile it on. We got the GrannyPeggy for the road and split it: Turkey, brie, apple, roasted red pepper aioli. Read more
Wife and I arrived late on the island and found this market and deli open at 9:30 pm, and didn't expect to be able to order... food, but they were still taking orders, and all I can say is WOW!!! There was what seemed like unlimited fresh and hot,hand-cut fries and hot onion rings in our order. We ordered the Nancy Jean and Dino Bravo sandwiches and they were huge, anddelicious. The staff was super friendly, and very helpful. The store was neat and they had a gigantic selection of beer andwine, as well as unique gifts. We highly recommend this spot for your late-night cravings. Read more
Let?s start with all the great things. I was impressed with the beer selection at the store, they had everything you could... want. Small companies from the states, euro imports and all the normal big brands.. This jar of pickles I bought were some ofthe best I?ve had. They had solid crunch, a nice spice and hint of sweetness to them. Amazing! The onions rings were great, nottoo doughy and very thin. The batter had great crunch. They also managed to crack the horseradish code for me. Finally ahorseradish sauce that was not overpowering and just subtle. Amazing stuff! The only reason I can?t give it 5 stars was becauseof the sandwich. The bread was super dry and made the sandwich a little tough to eat, from a chewing standpoint. It was a battlehaha. Visited Waves Market and Deli yesterday. This place is take out only so you will have to eat it someplace else. This is a great... little store in the village of Salvo. They have a great hey selection and all of the necessities you could need. The hidden gemis the Deli. The reviews are spot on. The sandwiches and burritos are very good and packed!
