Love the genuine Chicago style food here, from the Vienna Beef hot dogs - Vienna Beef rather than David Berg makes a huge... difference - to the Italian beef and some of the best fries in town. My only complaint is that it?s almost always closed duringthe hours when I could go to Dr.Dawg. I believe that currently, the hours are 11 to 4, Tuesday through Saturday only. I assumethat the management has found a way to pay the rent on a store that is only open 25 hours per week. I?m just sorry that those 25hours don?t overlap with my availability. The food is truly great, a near perfect reflection of the ?Chicago Food? I grew up on. Read more

New go to lunch place while working in Wauwatosa. Great prices, and their specialty dogs can be enormous. 12 inch long Chicago... dogs are a go to when you're massively hungry. Read more

Called for take-out, still had to wait, but my fries were hot. The food was OK, I had an Italian sausage on a bun, that's all... that was on it. It was OK after adding some condiments. Fries were OK, liked that they were skin on. We will be going back, wedo want to try more of the menu. Read more

Customer service was good. I ordered a regular burger with fries. I thought the burger was overpriced and I had to pay an extra... dollar for cheese but thought maybe it would be worth it. It was ok. The pickles were like big cucumber slices that slide outwhen you bite them and had no flavor. The burger itself was kind of blah. The fries were flavorless to me and what I did taste Ididn?t really care for. I like to support small businesses but I was disappointed. Read more

When I heard of the new Dr Dawg location I was thrilled. Living in Oak Creek we sorely missed the Greenfield location when it... closed. Needless to say we were very excited to get to the Tosa location. Unfortunately, things just didn?t live up to our ownhype. First off we arrived shortly after 11 am. The look of the dining area was very un- welcoming. Chairs still turned over ontables, floor mats rolled up on top of trash bins, and kind of just a ?not ready for customers? look and feel. We weren?t evensure if we would be able to dine in. We got in line and ordered and staff began to set tables up. The next issue came whenordering. The four of us ordered dogs, burgers, fries, and drinks. The menu shows an option for ?meal deals? was how I believeit was worded. To add a drink and fries to a sandwich. With ?free drink refills? We all thought that?s what we ordered, only tofind out we were charged ala carte prices. I?m assuming because I did not see a fountain machine anywhere and had to choosebottled drinks from a cooler. (Then this should be mentioned by the person at the register.) Other issues were mistakes withwhat we ordered. One burger got ketchup instead of pickles. The other burger didn?t have the onions that were requested. Not theend of the world, but if you are taking orders for an item that comes plain and customers are adding their own toppings, theorder taker should either be on their game, and or repeat the order back to avoid these kind of mishaps. My burger missing theonions was an easy fix, but my daughter?s burger had ketchup ( which she didn?t want) and no pickles. Once we realized it waswrong we didn?t want to wait 10 minutes for a replacement so we didn?t even ask. Also, both burgers ordered medium rare came outmore medium to medium well. Properly cooked burgers were always a reason we frequented Dr. Dawg. Disappointing. The fries werealso soggy, not crispy. Again, disappointing. The hot dogs we ordered, a 12 inch chili cheese dog and Read more

My coworker and I ordered some amazing food from Dr. Dawg today for lunch, and it was a great experience overall. I was... extremely pleased with my cheese dog (yum!) and garlic rosemary fries, and my coworker devoured her Italian beef and fries. Asshe was the designated food-getter today, my coworker had the opportunity to chat with a member of the staff, and had a greatconversation as our food was prepared. Overall a very positive experience. Read more
