I guess I don?t understand the concept behind Monterrey Express, except maybe to eliminate dining room labor costs. The entrees... cost the same as at a full service sit down restaurant, one with waitresses to help you make a selection and take you order andassist you throughout the meal. Real restaurants also have plates and actual silverware (though not silver per se, stainlesssteel), not take out containers and plastic utensils and have rigid glasses not paper cups. Why stand in line at a counter,serve yourself, wait for your food, eat like in your car and bus your own table if there is not a cost or convenienceadvantage? Further the food is nothing special, far from it. It is bland and forgettable. While they use all the rightingredients the final product lacks flavor and is just a unappetizing mush of familiar items. The house salsa is tasteless andno amount of amendments, hot sauces, can make it palatable. The small bag of chips were thin cold and tasted of old grease. Ididn?t try their margaritas, one can only take so much disappointment during one meal. Missed the drive-thru, so walked in on a Friday night to order carry-out. Staff were pleasant and helpful. My order was ready... in minutes, exactly as ordered. We chose the veggie fajita quesadillas, expecting just peppers and onions for the "fajita"portion. Favorably impressed to find lots of veggies inside, including sauteed broccoli and zucchini. Great concept for fast fresh food. Walk in counter ordering. I waited maybe 1-2 minutes after getting my drink and the hot... fresh food was brought to the table. So much better and faster than "fast food". Check it out. Read more
The food was good. They did alright for the bigger order we had through the drive-thru. My order was not correct, and I think... that is why I have not been back there since. Menu shown in pictures. I like they have a drive-thru option so you don?t have togo inside. Read more
First time. A+ I went in the drive thru and it didn't take long for my order. Took it to the park and it was absolutely... delicious. Steak quesadillas with added deluxe option, California burrito, and cheesecake strawberry treats. Came with warmchips and some salsa too! I hope to try the taco salad next time! Read more
I ordered the four street taco plate and I received three tacos with the fourth being just tortillas. I highly recommend dining... in for this product. I also had to put them together myself. I recommend going to Maria's on Hickman, they have a better salsabar there. Read more
Loved my food! They were able to put my queso on the side and my margarita was STRONG. They do a fantastic job at following CDC... guidelines and making you feel safe and keeping things clean and sanitized. Definitely coming back for their Monday specials! Read more
I ordered food tonight for pick up when picking up and checking the food the burrito it was wrong we had them remake it ! And it... was still wrong nothing like it was supposed to be no shrimp added and chicken and not steak like asked ! I asked for NO queso 7times made sure they knew my son his allergic!! They put cheese on both burritos !! the lemonde was watered down and they didn?thave my margarita ready so I didn?t get one ! The CHICKEN POLLO LOCO SAID BREAST they gave me shredded chicken and overly addedto many onions it seemed the chicken was the side. When I called back they said the kitchen was closed.
