By-far the best BBQ place I?ve ever had. Almost every vacation spot I go every year I get some sort of BBQ, and I have yet to... find a place I enjoy more than this. I visit at least once a week. Their sliced pork is tender enough to pull apart with a forkand flavorful enough to eat with no sauce. Their Mac n cheese is SO GOOD. And I get it all for under 10 dollars?! We had a great experience stopping by for lunch! I try and do low carb and I am allergic to beef and I was able to eat here! I... tried the turkey, pork, and chicken. It was cooked to perfection and so good. I was able to get ranch for the sauce since BBQsauce typically has to much sugar and carbs. Brisket was amazing, Great smoke, juicy, flaky fork tender that doesn't fall apart when you dig in. Next big thing sauce had a... medium light Pour, Full flavor, plenty of tang and a little bit of kick. Try the mop or the sow money for a little morespace. Flatliner potatoes were layered, cheesy hashbrown delight with a crumble on top. Plabano Cream corn was mouthwateringamazing flavor al dente corn and the corn muffins were fluffy served with spreadable honey butter. Shells & cheese wasextremely creamy White cheddar cheese sauce mix amazing. Pickles tasted homemade Can of soda pop for that authentic barbecuefeel? WOW!! This BBQ joint is The BOMB!! Especially for my palate. Took a 2hr ride/drive looking for some good eats and scenery.... Looking through Google, I came across Big Al's BBQ. I was looking at the reviews for Big Al's and there were a lotta badreviews. While reading the bad reviews, someone mentioned Kue'd Smokehouse. So I made a decision to check them out. I have tosay I was very impressed!! The staff was great. Especially the Host Travis. He was great to talk with about the history of thisBBQ joint. The food was delicious!! I had a slab of ribs with the TIP still attached and Beef burnt ends with some sides. I didtake home a pound of Smoked chicken wings for the Super Bowl tomorrow. Best bbq I?ve ever had. The owner is super cool and has even packaged food for me so I could share it with my family in... California. The redneck nachos are to die for! The pulled pork is juicy, the cheese sauce is delicious and with everything elseon top it?s just an explosion of flavor and I can?t get enough of it. Wish I lived in Iowa so I can have it often. Man oh man, gluten free options and care in the kitchen to not cross contaminate? Yes and yes. We will visit every trip through... Des Moines.
