Stopped in for lunch. Excellent teriyaki and tempura, adequate tuna sashimi. The environment was cluttered with Sapporo boxes... set aside for to go orders. Service started friendly but made me feel low priority when time get the check. Read more

Oh wow what a delicious experience!! I loved the sushi and sashimi, the lunch specials were in unexpectedly huge portions and... iced tea was super tasty! Really big selection of food and all tastes great. Ambience was good with music gently playing in thebackground (no loud blasting!!). Toilets were clean and large. This was such a great find close to the beach. Only downside waswe didn't get spoons with our soup but the bowls were shaped well enough to simply drink from and enjoy. Read more

Everytime I have appointments in Watsonville I love stopping here to eat. I got a bento box and some sushi to go for later. I... had teriyaki steak, tempura, and gyoza, and it came with rice, salad and soup. The sushi I ordered to go was so delicious. Forthe chicken teriyaki roll, I added cream cheese and it had grilled chicken topped with sweet sauce. Also, I got a Yammy Roll, which has tempura yam, and I, of course, added cream cheese. Everything was amazing! Read more

Fresh sashimi! I got the Chef?s Choice Sashimi Dinner and it was great. The salmon melts in your mouth and the other cuts were... great as well. My husband got a couple rolls and really liked his choices. Don?t pass this place up! Read more

If you find yourself in Watsonville, CA and love sushi, this place is legit. There?s a few options in the area, but I ended up... here 3 times in one week as I vacationed here in a near by beach house. Yes, I tried others, but quickly realized Imura was thedominant. The nigiri and rolls always featured fresh tasting fish, never a questionable smell or flavor. The place was busyboth day and evening which is a good sign that the locals agree, that this is the spot for sushi. The decor is unpretentiousand gives you the hometown feels. I chose the ?spicy heaven? as my main roll and always accompanied it with a mix of salmon, tuna and shrimp nigiri. My daughter chose traditional salmon rolls, avocado/salmon rolls and nigiri. Each visit was consistentin quality of fish. Also consistent was the service. Service was excellent! Never did I feel i had to wait for drink refills orcheck-ins, but equally never ?bugged? overly by staff. Prices are also on par. They charge what you?d expect for a loaded rolland for a traditional roll. Some places, not just locally but everywhere, are pushing roll prices into the obscene range of$20/roll; this place does not. Prices are perfect. Read more
