I ordered a pesto bagel with cream cheese. These are not New York Jewish Bagels. This looked like a Bagel, but the dough was... more like a hamburger bun with a hole in it. The pesto was not baked in, it was spread on with the cream cheese. It tasted goodbut this was not what I would call a real bagel. It may be a cultural thing, maybe these folks have never had a real bagel fromNYC or Philadelphia and they saw a photo and said I could make that. ???? on a positive note, this bagel would make a greatsandwich. I am normally a big fan of this place. I came all the way from Merced today to get a fruit tart for a special occasion, only to... check it once I got home to a bunch of MOLDY fruit! The cream cheese was also really stiff, so who knows how long it had beensitting out for. I had eaten some of the fruit before I discovered Definitely it went bad and it made me sick. I will beextremely wary about coming back here in the future, if I come back at all. EDIT: I messaged them a couple days after theyresponded back to this, and they completely ignored me.
