Went for a hike in Watkins Glen & was looking for a beer and a sandwich. Saw some OK reviews for this place but was like... whatever let’s go, the setting is awesome it’s right on the lake, outdoor seating is fabulous, the beer was okay nothingcrazy but a beer is a beer to me I’m no connoisseur. The food was pretty good, again it didn’t stand out significantly butit was tasty. There are QR codes all over the place and no one gives you any direction about ordering you have the option toorder at the counter or from the code but there’s no codes on the tables, we ordered drinks from the bar and any question weasked it was like we are inconveniencing them, I understand you want us to use the QR codes but telling us you’ll bring thefood out shouldn’t be something we need to ask lol. We are both in the restaurant industry so I still tipped 20% on the beerswe were handed and the food separately. They bring it out to you with no silverware or napkins, we had wings and a sandwich sounderstandably no silverware but throwing a few napkins on the plate would be kind of them instead of telling you to go insidefor them. Beer good, food okay but not worth almost $20 a sandwich with horribly salty chips. Also had to stand in line to order food... instead of someone waiting on you at the table. And then they expect a 20 percent tip as well. When I asked for silverware andnapkins, was told they were \"over there\" and had to wait on myself. Won\'t be eating there again. For that price, I can goelsewhere with full service and just as good food, if not better, for the money. And I don\'t have a problem leaving a 20percent tip, or more, for service. Read more

I cannot say we tried any of the Beers. They may be really good. The food is only average however, and the cost is much higher... then it should be. The view of the lake is nice if you can ignore all the bees buzzing around the tables while you eat. Oncethe food is picked up at the pickup station, you have to order drinks at the bar. Even if you choose soda or lemonade you haveto order from the bar. Not really kid friendly while waiting 30 minutes for simple menu items on a not very crowded Thursdayafternoon. Read more

The summer salad was delicious and the lake view was gorgeous.

The Beer is good as always. Unfortunately the restaurant portion is far from what the price should be. The Burgers are a good... size but they lack in flavor. The Crab Melt was 75% bun, 10% lettuce and tomato and maybe 15% crab. It\'s so sad because this issuch a great location and they do have big feet to fill since the previous owners had excellent food. This was my 4th time beinghere since Horseheads Brewing took over, that will be the last time I eat there. I\'ll go back and enjoy the Beer but no longerwill I eat there.\n\nUpdate: So as we left that day I expressed how my experience was not the best. The manager was verypleasant and insisted that she give me a refund for two of the meals. Sadly I never received the refund. I called a week laterand was placed on hold for 15 min. When someone finally picked up they just hung up the phone. Such a beautiful location andplace, sad that the restaurant is struggling. I hope they get things together.
