I honestly wasn't expecting much. But the food was excellent. I got a burger just because It was easy. First of all it was... HUGE! Biting into it was almost a challenge. Challenge accepted! It was so tender and juicy! The char grill just made my mouthhave a party. As I looked at it I was sure I would be bringing home leftovers but I just couldn't stop eating it. Needless tosay. Very disappointed!! Three of us arrived and got a table as we were waiting for three more family members. We got drinks, the... rest of the family arrived shortly after. From there it totally went downhill. The waitress came to the table. Everyone ordereddrinks, appetizers and our meals. Then we waited and waited and waited....over an HOUR and not even a drink!! This is our favorite restaurant in Waterville and a favorite place to get burgers. It's located in a well-preserved, but aged... building, the inside has a quintessential pub vibe and the deck area is quaint and sunny, quiet even when the tables are filled,which is perfect for summer dining. They're always well staffed and every server we've had has been delightful, knowledgeable,and friendly. Food comes quickly and is delicious. Months ago, the first time we visited I was shocked by how plentiful thedishes were, the fries were piled on, the burger patties were thick, and they certainly don't skimp on the quantity of toppingsand sides. The burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection and both the regular and sweet potato fries are crispy yet soft andmoist on the inside. Nothing is ever overly salty or seasoned. Their gluten free pizza crust is great, it's thinner but not toocrunchy, soft but not chewy. My husband had gotten the chicken broccoli alfredo pizza and the sauce was nice and creamy and itwas topped with ample cheese, which was melty and stretchy like it should be. On our recent visit I tried the stir fry withadded steak and even though it was $6 extra ($13 base price) I was expecting thin slices of beef, but if you refer to my pictureyou'll see just how much they're not messing around with that steak! They were huge chunks of juicy, medium rare pieces of beef,like, I'm sure I got an entire steak! The sauce was sweet and tangy and had a nice variety of veggies, overall it was a greatdish. It was 5 years ago that I last visited my hometown of Waterville. I visited Mainely Brews on both occasions and this time was a... far better experience. The service this time was... prompt, polite, informative and genuine. Ashley was so super nice. Althoughbusy, she still maintained my attention without disregarding other customers. Your prices are in line with other competitors inyour region, however, currently coming from the Chicago region, let me say, I can buy two drinks and two shots for what youcharge for one drink and one shot. Tried the restaurant again this time every thing was great . My meal was delicious. Very happy . Pictures below that's coconut... crusted fish. I know it looks very brown but it's not burned. It was delicious. The other pictures of mac and cheese withpulled pork were from the last time we were there. Will definitely come again . The food was delicious and the service fast andfriendly. My husband had the fish dinner . He loved it. I only eat half of mine the last time I was here because my Mac andcheese with pulled pork was awful and if you look at the picture where is the pork which they say they are famous for. The porkwhat little there was of it and I'd say about half a cup of mushy fat goo. Awful I gave it to my dogs . The Mac and cheese awfulas well going to give that to my dogs as well. I would have said something to management but our friend was paying and hedid.not feel like complaining I didn't feel it was proper for me to . But I didn't want to write this review souly off of mymeal. When my husband and our friend had great meals. Our friend had the nachos from the appetizers and the 1 lb of chickenwings and loved them we also had calamari from the appetizers and had it with red sauce. Which was also delicious. I?ve been going to this place for a few years now. Nice selection of brews and excellent food. Pool tables, live music on... Fridays and an outdoor dining area. Very family oriented during the day and fun filled at night. Heads up chicken broccoliAlfredo lovers, ask for extra sauce and it is last meal I ever want to eat. Absolutely delicious!!! ????????
