Reviews for Jewel of India in Waterville, ME
The food was not very authentic. We started it with the Kebab with was dry with a sauce poured on top. It was not great. For... mains we had the Chicken Lajawab, Saag Paneer, Saag Dal which was way too spicy. The Tandoori roti was okay. The LashydarParatha was slightly raw inside it tasted like something frozen ready made. When it came to drink the Chai was too sweet andthe Mango Lassi was extremely sour. Read more
The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The only issue we had was there were dirty hand prints all over the wall just... above our table. Read more
I was a little scared to order, never having ordered Indian food before, but oh my goodness. The variety platter we had for an... appetizer and the chicken curry and tapoori shrimp we ordered was amazing. Everything was delicious. Read more

They are so good I ask my boyfriend if we can get jewel of India like every day. My only complaint is that I can't go every day.... Worth the stop if you're a tourist, great regular spot if you're local. I can also take my vegan friends here. Read more
We have been to 6 Indian places in Maine, this is by far the best. The lamb was so tender, the shrimp, succulent. Large... portions. Just beautiful, clean restaurant. Will travel the 45 minutes anytime. We brought so much food home, already can't waitfor leftovers. Read more
I had an incredible lunch at Jewel of India. First off, I need to mention the beautiful interior of the restaurant. The... decorations are lovely and they contribute to a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is all incredible. You need to order upsome Naan - which pairs beautifully with the different sauce options at the table. I also decided to try the Bombay Masala. Itwas a hearty dish that was rich with spices. Overall, I'm really happy with the quality of the food and would happily returnagain! Read more
