The area was very welcoming and roomy. Very clean and a lot of room when seated. The staff is very professional and friendly.... They do not rush you and they accommodate you greatly. My salad was good, very good actually. Between 1 and 5, I would say5. My pizza was great, wasn't too heavy or too light, just right. Nothing wrong with some good pizza. I saw this pizza place and had heard of the pizza so thought I would give them a try ! Pizzas look very good with a nice charred... crust . Pizza itself did not have a lot of flavor as I only ordered a mozzarella cheese pizza . I didn’t eat it right away asI was traveling a bit so had some about 4 hours later . I was hoping it had more taste and a little more sauce and cheese,after all , it was almost $26 for the plain pizza. I may give it another try if I am sitting down to eat it right away . I’ve been going to Pepe’s in New Haven since I was a little kid and it’s still the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’m... always happy when I can introduce someone new to Pepe’s. I recommend the Margarita and clam pizza but always get extra so youcan have it for breakfast the next day. Read more
First time here and happy to see a new pizza place in Watertown. We tried their veggie special. Many places do veggie pizza but... I was happy that this one had the right balance of toppings without being too mushy. A good crust is the highlight of any goodpizza and this one was nice and crispy on the edges while being firm enough to not collapse when you pick up a slice. I ate theedges which is a good sign :) The medium pizza is big enough to serve 3 people. My only caveat was the price. At $26 for amedium veggie pizza this seemed a bit on the steep side. Read more
Out-of-towners who couldn’t get to New Haven on our trip but we were stoked to see a location near to our Airbnb. The pizza is... very good. Love the crispy coal fired crust and deep flavored sauce. Major quality control issues here: 3 pizzas and 3 severely different dough thicknesses. 1 was so thick it was a puffy flatbread,... 1 was so thin it was hard and like eating cardboard, 1 was just right. This is my favorite pizza place so far. They have cool flavors. The staff is friendly and nice. The place is usually not that... crowded that you will be able to find a table if you decide to come in. My favorite pizza is meatballs and ricotta.
