Reviews for Urwa's Pakistani and Indian Cuisine in Waterloo, ON
Horrible experience!! We ordered rice with butter chicken and choley puri. To our shock, the rice had a plastic straw (the one... you would find from rice bags) and a few hairs inside our meal. The gravy that came with the puri was extremely oily and didn?ttaste good at all. Poor hospitality as well as if we are uninvited to their restaurant ???? Read more
Visited this place a few weeks ago and from that day on has been on my regular eatery to go when in KWC region. Being a... vegetarian wasn't a concern as this place offers many vegetarian dishes. They offer a variety of desert(Indian/Pakistani). The food is lip smacking and lives up to the standard. Paneer Tikka Wrap is a must try, had to come all theway from Toronto for it. Samosa's were really crispy and I loved the green chutney. The Staff is soft-spoken, helpful, andoffers prompt suggestions. P.S.: Daily Deals are available, check them out before ordering. Read more
It is one of the best halal food shop in town. The halwa puri breakfast (Excellent chick pea "chana salan") and Biryani at lunch... with gulab jamun everything is amazingly tasty. The place has dine in option too which is great. Whenever we are in Kitchenerarea we buy box of biryani it's super convenient as take out and quality and quantity is excellent for one time meal. I loved the overall experience right from ordering, customizing the order, and the food itself. I don't prefer wraps in naan and... they happily took the request to change it to paratha (much better). I love the tikka here and the Biryani was decent. I'mlooking forward to trying more things here. Read more

The local Indian/Pakistani restaurant that does not disappoint you!!! We decided to choose this restaurant based on our... friend's suggestion of their Aaloo/Halwa Puri breakfast. We loved it!!! We ordered the traditional Aaloo/Halwa Puri breakfastand tandoori chicken platter with 4 types of tandoori chicken and chicken keema! When I told them this is our first time theyadded little portion of Briyani to out order for taste! They lost one star since they do not have handicapped accessibleentrance. They might have handicapped accessible parking but everything was covered in snow so not sure. However, there isenough parking spaces since it is part of a plaza. The restaurant is not too big and they do have little space for dine-inhowever they have a large variety of items to serve. I was able to locate the washroom however didn't use so not sure if it ishandicapped accessible. They have special prices for certain items based on the day of the week. We are definitely lookingforward to trying out those items. The quantity of the food was really good. They could definitely use a bit more spices but Iguess we should mention that at the time of order. Here is feedback on the food: The breakfast - Aaloo, chole, Halwa n Puri isa traditional breakfast and they do a great job on that. We liked the aaloo more than chole which could use some more spices. The puries were BIG and definitely 2 are good for an adult. The Halwa was pretty good, not too sweet which was the best part.Overall it was good and heavy breakfast. Pls make sure to order based on the number of people or you might end up ordering muchmore than required. The tandoori chicken platter - this was a mixed one for us. We liked some and didn't like some. I don'tremember their names now but the green n red ones we liked the most since they are spicy and others were not so much. Thequality of chicken was good so definitely worth a try. Chicken keema - this was a standard dish so cannot comment much. Read more
Not tasty & not well prepared. For the prices they are charging, it?s a shame that the food is not of better quality. The beef... Shami kabob is very misleading as there is no actual beef inside. When I got home I was very confused and upon calling the therestaurant they told me that it?s made mainly of lentils and vegetables that are ground up with little beef so there?s reallylittle to no beef; that was very disappointing. It would have been nice if had offered a choice of something else since I askedfor beef and there?s essentially no beef. There was also lettuce that was placed over the ?kabob? and the smell of the wiltedbrowned lettuce was very unpleasant. Lastly my naan was so over salted it was virtually inedible on top of that it was burnt onthe underside where it was cooked. Read more
