Fine dine place for family and date night. Visited this place couple of months ago for anniversary. We ordered salad with added... meat and handheld burger. Meat in burger was little burnt. Both the dishes could use some extra dressing or spices to improvethe flavor. Cocktails were really good. Waitress suggested to taste celebration cake and we ordered it - it tastedwell. Restaurant ambience was really good and service was on point. We called and booked a table as this place is usuallycrowded. Read more

Hosts were there to... greet us at the door, our server Alicia was fantastic and service was quick, our mains were hot and delicious, and the dessertswere yummy! We were so excited to see that they had Four All Ice Cream on the menu, yum!! We will definitely go back. Read more
A nice restaurant with a fun atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our table. Service overall was fast from... drinks, appetizers, mains and dessert. The menu was unique centered around contemporary Canadian dishes. Overall everythingtasted good, some dishes could have used a bit more seasoning or sauce to help elevate the dish. Read more

Proof kitchens was another example of a place that was talked up to me and I was excited about, but when I finally visited I was... deeply disappointed. The vibe of the place was a good blend of informal yet polished and I felt comfortable coming in afterwork without dressing up too much. I ordered a cherry cider, the foraged mushroom soup, and the lamb shank vindaloo. The ciderwas interesting but a bit sour for my taste but I was pleased to try something different The waitress was friendly andefficient. The trouble started with the soup. I had been expected something creamy smooth and earthy but the broth that arrivedwas overwhelmed with oil and microherbs and the mushrooms were neither in slices nor pureed and instead chopped in bits thatresulted in an odd and unpleasant texture. I was disappointed but I hate complaining at restaraunts so I let it go, but when mymain arrived I saw that what I experienced wasn't a one off. The lamb shank itself was barely lukewarm and lacking in flavour.Worse still the sauce was watery and lacking in any discernable spice. The rice lacked plumpness and reminded me of minute rice.Only the pickled onions and riata brought any joy to my mouth. My waitress sensed my disappointment and when I told her myimpressions she immediately offered to replace the dish. Because I had a meeting I needed to get to I chose the Cider brinedchicken Supreme which promised crispy chicken skin and seasonal veggies with pommel puree. The replacement meal arrived quicklyand the breast was moist and flavourful but the skin was flabby and unpleasant and the veggies were burned on one side andsoggy on the other Having neither the time or heart to send it back again I paid my bill and left but won't be going backagain. I don't know if this was just an off day for the kitchen but I will not risk shelling out $60 for a night ofdisappointment again. Read more
