We've tried a bunch of different places in the K-W area and we just keep coming back to the Daily Grill for their breakfast as... no one else does it better. My husband and I discovered this restaurant recently. The atmosphere there is great. The (I assume owner, or at the very least... manager) was there both times we visited sitting at or behind the bar, and greets everyone like they were a regular...but itseems a lot of them were. He joked around with people like they were best buds, and it was great to see. The servers all arepleasant, and full of smiles for everyone, even if you aren't their table. The menu is pretty simple but had great variety withreasonable prices. The food came to us hot, well portioned, and tasted good. Definitely gave a home-cooked meal feel. Wefound the gravy a little salty, but personally, I liked it that way...hubby not so much. We will likely return, because there'smuch more on that menu (and special features) we'd love to try. Excellent place for breakfast. Servers and kitchen work as a well oiled machine. Service was prompt, not rushed and pleasant.... Food came out hot, quickly and was delicious. Some will say it's hard to screw up breakfast, but when it's done well you canreally tell. Owner/Manager made sure to greet everyone and thank them on the way out. Clearly a lot of regular diners here.Definitely recommend if you are in Waterloo. Read more
Good food and decor with fair prices. Service was ok. Has a pub feel. Not really COVID safe. Two guys (I think one was the... owner/manager) walking around with no mask. Don't know if I would go back with the other choices in the area. Read more

Overall a disappointment. These are not home fries. They are deep fried potato slices. Not appetizing and we didn't eat... them. The eggs Benedict was very basic for $13.99 with no presentation. Had to pay additional. 75 for peameal bacon on itinstead of ham. Basic egg breakfast included the awful deep fried potatoes. Eggs were cooked well on both plates. Smokeybacon very greasy and not cooked long enough. Hubby said coffee was pretty good. Would not recommend. Read more
This has to be the funniest thing. I ordered food not knowing how much it was going to be because it doesn?t say how many... pancakes is in the order so I thought it?d be a piece or two and a bit of eggs a sausage or two (I guess I didn?t read properlylol) This girl walked in with two containers I shared my food but good price for a large amount! It tasted alright, I was a fanof the pancakes and the food was a little greasy but otherwise good ! Read more
My husband and I took our toddler there for the first time and it was amazing. We were seated quickly, tables were clean the... food was great! The owner/manager? He brought over a high chair for our son and wiped it down for us which was so thoughtful andi really appreciated it. We will be back. Read more
