One of the really best place to hang out in uptown waterloo. I wanted to order hot wings but instead I got hot chicken sandwich,... but its okay because the sandwich was really really good. Moreover I didn’t care as partially it was my fault while placingorder and I didn’t want prepared food to go waste. Lastly, really friendly and nicest staff. I really enjoyed my time there. Service was good and food tasted good too. Portions were quite big but food was on the pricier side. Most of the of mains were... over $20. Love that Beertown sends you a text when your table is ready instead of having people wait in line. Staff was attentive and fast... even when the restaurant was packed. They have lots of plant based and gluten free options. It was amazing that they had aseparate menu got those options so that I didn't have to wade through the whole menu. We ended up at Beertown one night, the reservation process was simple and the waiting times were long. We had Asian Salmon Bowl... and Southern Fried Chicken. The bowl was flavourful and delicious. The chicken was tender and the portion sizes generous. Iswapped fries for truffle parm fries and they were fantastic. For dessert we got sticky toffee pudding but it had way too muchcinnamon in it, we told that to the staff and they comped it even though I insisted on paying. Beertown is always reliable as a good experience. I can count on having a flight of beers I've never had before with the... rotating taps, the food is consistent, and the service is good. Our party of 3 had meat eaters and a vegan, drinkers and nondrinkers, and there were no compromises to make given the solid menu. I loved the tiny tuna tacos - one of my top 3 items onthis menu for sure! They are labelled "tiny" but packed with tuna - delicious! For my main I had the hot chicken sandwich withthe beer cheese soup on the side. The chicken on the sandwich was cooked well and the spice and sauce were nice. The size of thepiece of chicken was small compared to other great chicken sandwiches in Waterloo. There was far too much bun given the size ofthe piece of chicken. The beer cheese soup was great as usual. I finished off with a spiked root beer float, which was greatgiven the Nickel Brook root beer. I'd have it without the alcohol next time. I'll be back! My wife and I went to Beertown Waterloo for an evening date last night. We had a 5:00 reservation. This is the second time we... dined at Beertown, the 1st time was an anniversary dinner several years ago. We were greeted pleasantly and promptly seated. Thewaitress was great and did her job well and the food came out surprisingly fast after we placed our order. The food wasabsolutely delicious. Beertown is a first rate restaurant.
