The wait at Farmer Brown's was too long, so we popped across the street to the Fire Barn. We were seated immediately and our... waitress took our order promptly. The drinks were very good and the food came out pretty fast -- shrimp baskets and fries. Theonly negative was that the cocktail sauce appeared to have been packaged and perhaps frozen well in advance of our being there. Everything else was better than good! Read more
Service was mediocre the food was worse. Took 2 baby bites out of a hockey puck burger and they didn?t ask if I wanted anything... else just that they would comp half of the meal. Waitress said the manager was having a bad night. Won?t go back. Read more
I've been to this place 7 or 8 times due to the convenience of location. It just keeps getting worse! The food runner delivered... my food, no silverware, no drink, no server to be found, and the runner RAN before I could say anything. The female manager isextremely rude and ignorant. I highly recommend you avoid this place! I try to live by the rule "if you have nothing nice tosay"....but I don't want someone else being treated the way I was. Read more
The place was less than half full. Maybe they were short staffed. However, my group was the third group in the waiting area.... Nobody working even looked at any of us. They walked past us over and over. Not even ?I?m sorry but we are behind and will seatyou as soon as possible.? Nothing. The group ahead of us left and we followed. The employees clearly wanted us to leave. Theprevious time that we ate there, it took a long time to get seated, a long time before someone took our order and a long time toreceive our food. And, the table was filthy. We live close and use to go at least once a week. This place is going downhill. Read more

Great place in Waterloo! I had the fried pickle spears with ranch, big engine pork tenderloin, and peach margaritas. All of it... was amazing. The tenderloin sandwich was massive, I had to take half home. It was very well seasoned, crispy, and the toppingswere fresh and tasty. The onion rings were battered not breaded and they were good, but it?s not my favorite way ofcooking/eating them. The pickle spears were crunchy and everyone agreed the breading they used held up really well and wasn?tsoggy or weird even after sitting for a while. My only ?complaint? is that they were out of the blood orange margarita stuff,but even still, the peach ones were pretty good. I will say, kinda pricy for the amount of alcohol I got though. My coworkersgot: the special - chicken fried chicken, the Rueben, and the prime rib burger. The chips that came with the burger were crispyand not at all what I thought I was in for. Less kettle cooked, more lays (but better) if that makes sense. The chips and quesowas also a very good app to start - if you don?t like spicy queso, this would be good for you, it?s a very mild heat vs actualkick. Couldn?t comment on the burger/special/Rueben but they either cleaned their plates or took the rest with so it must?vebeen pretty good :) overall I def recommend it, and will be back in the future. An enjoyable sports bar, with a large selection of beers on tap. My experience was for lunch on a Saturday, the place had... plenty of seating and was not over crowded. Food is reasonably priced, with there being a daily special. I had the prime ribsandwich and fries. I would be interested in trying some other menu items. Fire barn is a nice place to get together with familyor friends. Read more
